"In the Garden" Again: Robin and Forsythia from Telling Stories Through the Needle's Eye

While I (Kara) was in Germany, the only robins I saw were the smaller English robins. They are adorable, and we have brought them to life in other blocks that we have created. The halfway point of our In the Garden re-visit brings us to the Robin and Forsythia block, but this time our robin is the larger, but equally beautiful American Robin. Simple stitches will bring this robin to life, and he will look like he is ready to fly away!

Let’s get ahead of the game and pull out our red and green fabrics to use with these two fun Christmas quilt patterns! Choose one (or both) and get it ready over the weekend. They have just been published in the Christmas Quilting book by Annie’s Quilting.

Holiday Stars on page 25 measures 51″ x 67″ and the blocks are 16″. I used fabrics from the Holiday Decadence collection by Hoffman Fabrics. The prints are beautiful with pine cones, robins, seasonal words… all wrapped in lots of gold trim.
