What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

The final countdown. In a little over 24 hours, I'll be on my way to the airport. Will the second deadline be finished? I have no choice, as it ALL has to be done, as it's not something I can fluff my way through. 

I'm happy to report that EXCELLENT progress was made yesterday. There is NO audiobook happening, no radio, nothing but silence, and you know what? I LOVE it! I've got time to think, to reflect, my brain is relaxed, there is no rush, and so far - no panic! Everything is going as planned ...

Could there be a glimmer of hope about the phone? I spoke to someone yesterday who has similar issues, and they have "solved" it by finding a spot in their house where their voice doesn't cut out (I wasn't sure if it was just their voice or the call -- need to check that out) and then they use earbuds to roam the house while they talk. Hmm --- that could work, but where is that sweet spot? I was standing at the backdoor with my phone outside yesterday and still had issues!

There are TWO new habits that I want to add to my OCD behavior this year. One is to write in The Happiness Project book every day! It takes no time at all, and the second is to respond to ALL the comments in a timely manner that people post on the blog. So far -- I'm good!

WOW  --- it appears that flannel is on the way out! Two people commented that they got rid of their flannel. I mean -- there comes the point when you just say, "why are we keeping all this stuff?" More on my flannel in a minute.

The clock is ticking, and I wrote a list of everything I must do before leaving. I'm in good shape, although as much as I'm trying to be ahead of the game, I'm sure I'll be running around on the last day like an idiot! 

I still haven't bought all my clothes! And certainly haven't packed - I mean, what's to pack? Someone asked about my backpack's weight and where I came up with the 10 lbs limit.

I had to laugh yesterday as the mystery book I was listening to mentioned the Camino! One of the potential suspects was walking the Camino, which ruled them out as a suspect! How timely!

Over the years, millions of "pilgrims" have walked the Camino, and many have written books about their journey. I've read the Jane Christmas book (What the Physic told the Pilgrim) -- that was probably the first one I read. I know there's a movie (The Way) I will watch when I get back. The moment when you realize you've let things get too complicated

So today I took the afternoon off to sew.  It isn't a great time to take off since all of a sudden, the country has decided it's actually summer and they want to buy, buy, buy their summer clothes.  It's been kinda crazy at work and with summer here, crazy on the social front.  All of that adds up to no time to sew.  So I did it. I took the afternoon off to finally finish up Tessa's Mosaic.

This week I've continued on with the spring cleaning of my dressing room which houses the clothes I don't wear all that much and the stash that I don't use that much.  When I say "That Much",  up until I started this it's been a long while since I had been in there.  The clothes have been easy.  So far 12 13-gallon bags have gone to the Salvation Army.  Apparently, when you work for a women's clothing retailer you tend to accumulate a lot of clothes.  Now the stash, well that's another story.
