What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

This morning, I was up early. Can't seem to sleep later than 7:30 am because of the sun coming in the window. 

After Patrick was up, I was trying to decide what I wanted to do today. He was going to work on the strawberry jam. He was making that for Nancy, Phil, and mom. Think he has enough from last year to keep him busy. 

I went downstairs to get fabric for Georgie together. Then while I was down there, decided to try and work on that quilt top.

This morning, I was out the door and on my way to the grange. I stopped and got a Chai tea at the coffee stand. It's more expensive than the Dutch Brothers I go to. Plus, the taste is a little different, even though I know they use the same ingrediencies.

It was just Geralyn and me today. We chatted and had a good time. She was marking her fabric to work on a quilt that is embroidered. It will be pretty when she's done. She called this quilt she's work on "dead grandma's quilt." I ...

This morning, I was a little slow getting up today. I played my game for about 30 minutes and then went walking with Ron. We did 5 laps today. 

Came back in and had to get working on the quilts for tomorrow. I had labels that needed to be done. 

First was Nancy Smith's. I had to finish the binding on this last night. It's all ready to go. 

Another panel quilt, but not an eagle. It will do fine tomorrow, I'm sure. This is one Connie did.

This morning, I was woken by the timer on the irrigation system. Guess Patrick decided it was time to get a new one after being woken up 3 days in a row. He actually went on the couch around 5 am this morning. 

I ordered the sheepskin seat belt covers that one of you told me about. They came in today and I love them! It feels a lot better against my chest! Thank you!

Got up and tried to get a few things done before we headed out to Heavenly Quilts to pick up the material we had ordered ...

Was up around 5:30 am and went back to bed but couldn't sleep. got up at 6:15 am. I tried to be quiet and let Patrick sleep, so I sat and played my games. 

Then I realized I needed to shower and get moving for walking with Ron today. Katt called around the time I needed to walk. After that was over, I called him. He had the same issue; he was chatting with his son. So, we ended up going about 30 minutes later than usual. We walked 6 times around the neighborhood. It was awesome ...

We were up at a good time. Walked with Ron for 5 laps. He won't be walking tomorrow, so may end up on my own. Now that I have good ear buds, I will probably do it on my own. Patrick will be golfing. 

After we went walking, I got some fabric ready for Connie. We headed out go get a few things done. Stopped at the eye doctors and found out they don't take our insurance with Medicare. So, we will have to go to Kaiser and get new glasses up there. I hate leaving my eye ...

This morning, I was in pain. I tried to sleep a little longer, but it wasn't to be. 

I got up and played on my tablet. Then I decided I needed to get moving and not worry about the pain. So, I headed downstairs to work on another panel quilt.

Today I was up and ready to leave early....or I thought I was. By the time I was trying to figure out my magnifying light, it was past time I wanted to leave. I thought I had a battery to my magnifier and found out it's USB ported. DAH! So, I screwed it back up and then was ready to go. I charged the light before I left - like 5 minutes. Then I charged it in the car as well.

This morning. I enjoyed being able to sleep in. When I did get up, I made some blueberry muffins for breakfast. I really love the recipe I have. They turned out great. 

Walked with Ron. We got a good 5 laps in; I couldn't do any more. Then he wanted to show me his flowers. I fell in love with the climbing flower. I'm not sure what it is, but it's big and pretty. 

He bought some roses for the yard as well. He's going to put them in the back. They were really pretty, but ...

We slept in today. I felt a lot better. Then when I did get moving, I heard from Debbie. She wanted to talk about who we had scheduled for our June presentation. 

We realized that we are very low on panel quilts. So, we decided to go to the museum to see what was there and what we needed, since we have 2 weeks. The trouble is that panel quilts are generally done by Debbie and me. Since both of us were on a "break," we haven't been making them. Panic went in when we realized we wanted 2 ...

This morning, I was up early. I needed to work on the QOV information on each veteran that we need to honor. I wanted to do what I could for Carol. 

Then it was time to head out to moms. I stopped and got some Chai tea while I was on the way. Thought about washing the car at the car wash, but decided I would do it on the way back. 

There were 7 of us. It was pretty good. I worked on the blue and white block of the month that mom has. I pulled out moms' patterns ...

 This morning, I took my time getting to the grange. I took my "goldwork" piece with me. I wanted to see if I could finish it. I wasn't feeling great when I left. But I wanted to be with friends. 

 This morning, I woke after Patrick left for golfing. I woke to a dream where my younger brother had passed away. No one can go back to sleep with a dream like that. 

I ended up having to give TLC to Sophie as she meowed till I sat down. I played a few games and the Patrick got home. He was watching his "Love Boat" shows. So, I came in the computer room and worked on a few things.

Today started out with Patrick showering and then climbing back into bed. He said he was a little light headed and couldn't go golfing feeling that way. 

I headed off to moms and told him if he needed me to call or text and I would be home right away. He didn't. 

Went to moms and worked on labels for 2 quilts. 

Connie and I made this quilt. I really like it. I want more of her blocks if she will do them for me. This was fun to work on.

This morning I slept in. Didn't feel like getting up. When I did, Patrick had some rolls cooked. 

I was playing games when Patrick told me I would need to go out before the rain hit, if I was going to walk. I decided it was time to get back into the game of "life." I went out and got 2 laps in on walking. I didn't listen to by book, just walked. It actually felt good to get out and get some fresh air. 

Then I had Patrick bring me some quilts to work on the labels ...

 Today I was enjoying being home. I really like having the time to sit and just relax before the holidays and surgery. I did get a call from the nurse about surgery next week. I'm starting to get nervous but trying not to. Take each day, and I'll be fine!

Patrick went golfing but was back home by 11:00, guess they only did 9 holes. So, I didn't get the day to myself but that was okay too. 

I worked on getting the next ornament word chart done. I'm only about half way on the ...

Okay, Patrick went golfing today. That was nice. Trouble was he didn't stay away long enough! lol 

I had to get a few things done for tomorrow. I'm working on getting the quilts labeled and ready to go. Then I had to get a backing and batting done for Connie. Once that was done, I put the quilts by the door to remember to take them. I have 2 quilts for mom to do the bindings on. Then I looked all over the place for the paper that I wrote our check list on. I texted Debbie and ...

 This morning Debbie arrived around 10:30 and we headed out to Shelton. She wanted to show me the quilt shop out there. Annie's Quilt Shop - I think is the name. Anyway, we took a drive up there. 

Wow! That shop has a lot of stuff. The funny part is that you have to buy in 1 yard cuts. You can't get 1/4's, 1/2's, etc. I was okay with that. 

We saw this panel and wanted it. Trouble is that it was a kit. Not very big. Plus we didn't want the black ...

 I got started on putting my stuff together in the crockpot for my artichoke dip. It didn't cook the full time here, so when I got to the grange, I plugged it in. First, I had to stop at the Church to drop off 2 quilts, then I went to Safeway for bread. Once that was done, I headed over to Connie's where she gave me 2 more quilts that need bindings on. It was a trade off since I gave her 2 quilts with backing and batting. I brought home one of her tops to see what ...
