Good morning, my friends. It was a blustery and rainy day yesterday. As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I was determined to break my lazy streak by getting out for a walk. Mike accompanied me along my way. The sun was shining as we walked away from the RV, but there were some clouds in the sky. We walked up and down, taking in whatever there was to see. Before we walked away from our site, I turned to capture a shot of this snow-covered peak. This is Charleston Peak...the highest peak in the Spring Mountain Range.

Good morning, my friends. It was cloudy and cool yesterday, but there was no rain. We took a short drive north for more avocados, but otherwise, we did nothing. I spent a good part of my day slow-stitching. Happily, I have finished the 21st of 21 embroidered sections for the Raggedy & Friends project.

Good morning, my friends! And Yay! We're home early enough that I can still say "good morning." We've done our grocery shopping already today. I'm hoping I won't need to go back before we reach our final destination in southern California, but that's probably not realistic. Still...I'm hopeful. Without checking today's to-do list, I think grocery shopping was the only thing on today's list. If that's the case, I can spend the rest of the day sewing. Probably, I'll take a nap too.

Good morning, my friends. It was another busy day yesterday. I got a late start after sleeping in later than usual, but I still managed to cross off the things on my list. I wanted to get busy with the Peppermint Bark before I did anything else. It's very easy to make. The hardest part of the whole thing is getting the dratted paper off the candy canes. Mike helped with that. When it was finished, it looked like this.

It's surprising that I was able to finish them off without having to use my rotary cutter to slit my own throat. The kitties were there to offer meowral suppurrt. Sadie gazed longingly at the pieces I'd cut to finish the last block. I'd left them covered with rulers to purrtect them from...you know...mice.

We were up and out early to run some errands, and then we made the half-hour drive south to The Cotton Patch, where they have a "backing day" at the end of each month. Bring in a finished quilt top, get 25% off any backing fabric. As it turns off, they were celebrating "Small Business Saturday," and so everything in the store was 25% off. Even ...

Usually, I can move things around and do some of those chores on a different day. That’s not going to work between now and Thursday. We'll have eight for dinner, and so I must finish everything if I am to be ready. And all of that to say there wasn't a lot of time for sewing.

And it rained, and rained, and rained. If one can believe the forecast, we'll get some relief from this atmospheric river system we've been in. Ordinarily, I see the rain as good weather for sewing. So many days of darkness has me longing to get outside for a bit. Mike suggested we go out for Korean food last night, and I'd already been thinking the same thing ...
