PLAIDISH 2 from Kwilty Pleasures

Being a Scottish Highlander of Clan Gordon
my heart belongs to all things Plaidish.
My heart also belongs to THE Ohio State Buckeyes.

Sew I am combining the two to make
Erica Jackman's Plaidish II

@kitchentablequilting had me crushing so hard
on her first Plaidish, I made two!

A true scrappy version!

A 3 color version using all Christmas prints.

But back to Plaidish II

I pulled all the OSU fabrics I had in my stash,
Most were scraps, which lend themselves to her Plaidish patterns.

There are only 3 blocks and they chain piece quickly.

Plaidish Quilt from A Little Bit Biased

I'm trying to get all caught up on my blogging
before the end of the year (2 days from now)
but I don't think it's going to happen!
I know I have another quilt or two that I still
need to photograph!

But here's to trying!

This is my last quilt finish of 2022 -

Warm Wishes by Simple Simon and Co. for Riley Blake Designs.
Simply Love Fabrics hosted a ...

I was staying near Cleveland in Wellington, OH
at a lovely B&B, formerly a Funeral Home.
No haunts were noted and the owners were a lovely retired couple.

Then the workshop (and trunk show) was held
in a beautiful lodge near Oberlin called
The Lodge of New Russia Township.

I brought both my Plaidish ...

Mouse and a Cuppa– Paper Piecing design from Wisonsin Quilting

It’s time to share a cuppa with a friend. If you are in a location that’s at the point of opening up after these two years of covid, make that date! Finally! If it’s not yet time, piece this charming mouse and give it to your friend instead as a biggish mug rug. This mouse $7.50 pattern makes a 10″ x 10″ square, or any size, as you can easily scale this up or down .

This mousie is based on lovely illustrations by Ellie Snowden. Search her out or ...

Binge Quilting (AKA how I deal with an attitude I'd rather not be having) from DaySpringQuilter

I'm betting that title caught your attention.

I've heard of people who 'angry clean' their houses, or cook or bake to deal with their frustration.  Me?  I find that sewing soothes me like not much else can. And last night I "angry sewed" into the wee hours.

Here's the thing...I know God wants our hearts and He wants us to walk in forgiveness.  If after praying  I'm having a difficult time letting something go I find that keeping my hands busy doing mindless tasks helps me push through to the point of working it out ...
