Made in Canada from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I see the inevitable has happened. The price of regular gas has hit $2.00 a liter. Remember when it hit $1.00? That was an issue as the pumps couldn't display the price. Well, did they take into account that someday it might be $10 a liter? I'll have given up my car by then. 

Someone mentioned that raising the price is forcing people to buy electric cars. Seriously?? If anything, it should be encouraging people to buy more fuel-efficient/smaller vehicles, but that will NEVER happen. People will absorb that higher price and think nothing of ...

A first world problem from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

 

There are a lot of issues in the world. The biggest one right now is that the ENTIRE world is working its way through the pandemic. A lot of people are struggling with the stay-at-home order. It's a major inconvenience, to be sure, but it's not a hardship. I am extremely fortunate to live in a country where we have a pretty darn high standard of living and freedoms. Many of us have not lived through any kind of hardship. I wonder how society would cope if we actually suffered a major hardship?

UFO Show and Tell Part Two from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Sigh..............

Have you ever had one of those days when NOTHING seemed to go right? Yesterday was one of those days. I rarely feel like throwing in the towel, but I was tempted on numerous occasions. However, I maintained a level head and kept working methodically through the fiascos trying to make sense of the crazy day. 

The modem that was to arrive between 9 and 9:30 still wasn't here by 4 PM. A call indicated that it would likely be delivered today. Fortunately, DH's Zoom call didn't go down, although it slowed. I didn't ...

UFO Day from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!


Our UFO club is pretty simple. You signed up and paid some money. Each month you attend the meeting (or participate via e-mail) if you're too far away. You pick a UFO and you make a commitment (which I diligently record in my new book) and you better have the homework done for the following month.

We got off to a rocky start in January because of the weather. But we had great attendance this past month and NO money so far has gone to the kitty. Yikes - we might be having water and crackers for our lunch in ...
