Meine Pläne für 2021-Joy from Quilt Collection M.

I liked the scrappy topic of last year and therefore I will follow that scheme again. I want to make scrappy pillows and ...

Pattern Testing from Mama Spark's World

I agreed to do an edit on a pattern and then to make a pattern to test for someone too.  I got the edited pattern back to the person and that was fine.  Then yesterday I was putting the blade to my food processor away and sliced the heck out of my thumb.  Of course it is the thumb on my right hand too, my cutting and hand sewing hand!!!  I will show you the cut but at the end of the post, just

Ein Muster-Test - Pattern Testing from Quilt Collection M.

Karen fragte nach Testern für ihr neues Muster GeoOptics. Das ist ein total interessantes Log Cabin Layout. Log Cabin stand schon sehr lange auf meiner To-Do-Liste, also keine Frage, dass ich es testen wollte. Karen kenne ich übrigens aus der To be A Bee (Randersacker)-Gruppe...

Schaut euch das Ergebnis an: ist das nicht toll geworden? Ich musste einfach mit dem Ergebnis anfangen!

Karen asked for testers of her new pattern GeoOptics and I was totally excited to be part of the testing  team. A log cabin has been on my to do list for ages and I was ...

Shattered Star Table Runner from Dizzy Quilts

Early in September, Shannon Fraser of Shannon Fraser Designs put out a call for testers for the new pattern she'd be releasing on October 1: Shattered Star. I haven't been able to test any patterns lately because of work - the deadlines are typically pretty tight so I always had to say no.

However, when Shannon reached out and I saw the design, I just had to do it! I knew it would be very difficult for me to commit to testing a full size quilt, but she had so many options for her new pattern, I figured I ...

Pattern Testing from Mama Spark's World

I recently had the pleasure to pattern test for Pitchers Boutique.   I chose the Spartan Helmet.   I thought I could make it into a cushion cover for my son.   The pattern was awesome and went together very well.   I love to paperpiece and this pattern was an easy one.   I finished the whole block and realized only after taking a photo that I had actually missed a piece.   I ripped out

Our daughter Quarantina!!! from Sew Preeti Quilts

Paul: What is the matter babe?
Me: Cramps
Paul: Oh no!!!
Me: What?
Paul: I was going to name our daughter Quarantina.

New Pattern by Mell Meyer

Ten minutes later, when I stopped laughing, I had to ask...

Me: What if it were a boy?
Paul: I hadn't thought about it.
Me: How does Quarantino sound?
Paul: Nah, doesn't have the same ring to it.

Still laughing...

I was one of the pattern testers for Mell Meyer's new pattern - All the Diagonals.
The pattern is released today.  Her blogpost shows all the pattern testers' finished tops  plus ...

Sunshine and Flowers and Quilty Kitty from Life in the Scrapatch

The center of my Chloe pattern test quilt top is done.

While the sun was shining I took it outside for a few photos
while I enjoyed a cup of coffee on my backyard swing.

This is for a pattern that will be released soon at

Back inside in the evening, Maestro and I are deciding our border options.

Because I am running short on one of my stash fabrics, I will need to make a design option.

Maestro and I are thinking wide green border and the perwinkle blue for the binding.

Our concept for this quilt ...

Piers - Pattern Testing from Luna Lovequilts

One of the upsides of self-isolating ?! My agenda became very light for this Spring ;-) So when Julie @builtaquilt asked me if I was willing to test her new pattern I was happy to agree ! I chose the Baby size option. I know I know ... the easiest choice when testing a pattern ... ;-)

We're staying home to stop the spread of this virus, but we can still share the love of quilting with friends all around the world. Today is the final day of the hop.

Have you started doing a Quilt Along or BOM to keep busy? Perhaps you're catching up on a WIP?

I am doing a little of this and that. I almost have my new pattern written and made. Are you interested in testing it?

Patchwork Tea Quilt from Ellyn's Place

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky to have the opportunity to test out Jessica's newest pattern, the Patchwork Tea Quilt. I made one block, which was lots of fun! I plan to make more blocks to add to it down the road.

One clever part of this block that I love is the addition of some bits of selvage stitched to each tag. I had a blast digging through my selvages deciding what to use on mine. Then I found this one and it was perfect!

If you're looking for a fun pattern I highly recommend ...

Teal, Aqua & Turquoise from Sew Preeti Quilts

Honestly, I find these Teal, Aqua and Turquoise names confusing.  Different websites will label fabrics differently. Kona and Bella have additional names like Lake, Bermuda, Lagoon, Pool and Seafoam etc.

For simplicity and clarity I have divided my stash into Greenish Blue and Bluish Green.

Greenish Blue

Bluish Greens

Picture this - Leaving the Blue station, the train will stop first at Greenish-Blue and then at Bluish-Green before coming to a halt at Green station. For all the colors that lie between Blue and Green (but are neither Blue nor Green), March is the month in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2020 ...

juggling act from Ellyn's Place

My friend Jayne over at Twiggy and Opal introduced a new pattern today, and I must say it's a winner! I was lucky to get to test it out. Here is my version of the baby quilt size, ready to be quilted and bound.....

I used all Kona solids for my quilt, Kona Jade, Pool, Turquoise, Ice Frappe and Chartreuse.  The background is Kona Silver.  Hop on over to Jayne's blog to see lots of different versions, including some great scrappy ones! Then head straight to her shop to purchase the pattern, so you can make a Juggling ...

Friday Chat from Mama Spark's World

I have a little bit of this and a little bit of that to catch you up with.   We are all settling back into a normal routine now that Finn is home.   He and Cole and he and Chris are setting in to their old routines. On top of this, I trimmed up the Shooting Stars quilt, with some help of course. I don't think I have shared this quilt yet either.   I need to get the binding on
