TAPPETI DI PIETRA from appunti patch

A Finished "Squirrel"! from Indigo Threads

This post has been a long time coming.  I've actually had this quilt finished since August of last year so it could be in the guild quilt show, but I didn't have time to do a post nor did I have decent photos of the quilt.  Finally the stars have aligned!  I've finally managed to get some decent photos and I have time to post!

Project Quilting 10.3: EQ8 and French Inspiration from Mulberry Patch Quilts

This is the third challenge in Season 10 of Project Quilting, and the only rule is that it’s “Bigger than a breadbox” Wikipedia says they’re usually 16″ x 8″ or so, and that’s the MINIMUM size for the completed piece to meet this week’s challenge” … OK, I can do that.

I’ve been wanting to challenge myself by:

  1. Using a small French linen printed panel I bought at the Madison Quilt Expo
  2. Improving my piecing ability
  3. Designing it completely on EQ8 (Electric Quilt software)

First I got out every red & beige fabric I could find from ...

Christmas Figs Sew Along Block #12 from Pat Sloan's Blog

Article continues below these Amazon Goodies

With block Block #12 of Christmas Figs I'm showing off polka dots, so fun!

Pat Sloan Christmas Fig block 12 pic 2

The Christmas Fig Book is Required

The Red & Green is just like the quilt in the book.

I am doing the tips with Something Blue Fabric  as I make a 2nd quilt

On this block I love how a strong secondary image showed up when using the polka dot. It's much stronger than the green in the red/green as that red is stronger in that blocks and pops forward.

quilted pillowslips for valentines day from block-a-day

Julian and I were chatting over coffee on Monday morning.  He had his calendar open, planning the days he will work in Melbourne over the next couple of weeks.

Him:  Any preferences?

Me: Definitely not next Monday, I’m working an evening and I need you here to put away the poultry

I’m very mundane with my preferences.

Him:  Hmmmm … I need to be away for three days, so if I don’t go Monday that means I will be away Valentine’s Day.

Me: Huh!  I didn’t even know you knew when Valentine’s was!

Then wishing ...

beginner sampler from easypatchwork

Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you the sampler quilt I made for a beginner's patchwork class. I designed it from simple blocks that are essential for skill building. First, I searched for a nice mix of small, medium and large prints with a variety of values (light, medium and dark) and decided on a monochromatic color scheme of blues/grays/white. Fabrics from Makower, Moda and Robert
