What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

So, how do you organize your fabric? If you aren’t a quilter, how do you organize your crafting supplies?

I’m sure that there are some of us who are super organized and while I would love to be one of those people, I’m afraid that it just is not in me to be one. How has your week been? Hopefully you are staying warm and healthy. Have you been working on any projects or maybe made any progress on your crafting area?

I have! Slowly but steadily I am making progress in my room. My cutting table is just about usable and I have most of my sewing table cleared. Next up is the ironing board. Why is it that flat spaces seem to have some sort of magnetic power that attracts all the things to be placed on them? Do you find that to be true in your area? (Or maybe even the ...

WOW!!!!   I got some great before and after and during photos to share this morning, and here's a SUPER tip from Rose about those power bars. She zip-tied hers to the upper leg of her sewing table. That is awesome. One of the power bars I showed yesterday has a clamp on it, so you can clamp it to the edge of the table. I've NO idea where I bought that one.

A freshly covered ironing board, a newly covered design wall, and now it's time to sort and organize scraps!  My scraps have been stored willy-nilly for a very long time.  Well, forever, actually.

Well, that was a whirlwind day! And I was super productive! 

I got this bee in my bonnet about the "state" of Studio B, and since I had done such a great job at prepping the work tables, I was bothered by the state of some of the other areas. SO - this is what happened. And I will say that it didn't take all that long to make this happen. Why? Because there isn't as much stuff laying around as there used to be.

Since I've begun cross stitching again, it became vitally apparent that I needed a better system of organization for the needed supplies. The way it stood, as of a few days ago, is that the needed items were lurking in various and assorted zip-loc bags and storage bins, stashed here, there and everywhere. My project bags were hanging on the back of a doorknob filled to the gills with dissimilar

Sometimes when I am overthinking things, the world just seems strange. Who would have envisioned that we would be wandering around with miniature computers that make phone calls and are small enough to fit in our pockets? Who can now envision their life without one? They certainly do make things easier or at least a little more instant.

I will confess that I do not know much about quilting apps. In fact, there is only one that I have sporadically used and that is QuiltingCalc. However, since phones also have calculators I found that I wasn’t really using it ...

Hopefully we can now get back to our regularly scheduled posting habits!

We will certainly pick up where we left off with our Jacob’s Ladder blocks, but that will have to wait until next time. They are all sitting patiently waiting until it is their turn.

We also fell down a bit on UFO stuff. That’s okay too. I’m sure that we have all realized over the last year or so that sometimes life happens and we have to shift our priorities to take care of those things that are necessary. Hopefully you are all making UFO ...

Last week was A WEEK! Moving into the new church space in time for Holy Week and Easter was a blessing beyond measure. But, there was A LOT  of work to do behind the scenes, going forward, to organize and personalize the spaces within the new church to ensure functionality. I took on the task of cleaning out what had been used as a former storage closet off of the chancel and transforming it into

 I have a little bit of a routine in the morning. The rest of the day, not so much. Well, yesterday, when I was looking at my calendar and said I had NOTHING this weekend - I lied. I actually have two classes scheduled, and I need to see if they work on the day they are scheduled. While neither is huge, they do require prep work. 

First - I need to get all the follow-up done for last week. That's a task for today. One presentation tonight and LOTS of writing today.
