What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

 Big Top-style music played in the exhibit hall (not in the greenhouses).  There were  clever arrangements.  

It is impossible to take a bad photo of an orchid.  

Fun house wavy mirrors.  

It was a delight for both of us!

And we were home for a late lunch.

We began at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Archives.  

From the "growing up in Plains" section. 

The timeline of his presidency in world and national events. 

His legacy is the humanitarian work he has accomplished in the decades since.

Visiting the library was rather poignant because the Carter family had just announced that he is in hospice care now.

We then went to the Atlanta Botanical Garden .  The 76-degree weather was mild even for Atlanta and we had lunch ...

Just have a new pic of those wonderful orchids that our son gave me. Now there are 18 blooms on it and all are perfect. Such a delight to watch them come out! 

We are getting warmer weather, much welcome after a week or so of -40 with wind. The melting makes walking from our door out of the complex quite dangerous though. I'd like to go but need cleats!

This painting is from a photo that I took when my mom visited me several years ago in Nashville.

I started this painting in 2014 and set it aside. It was one my many works in progress that sat around the studio. I have decided that I will finish them all before I start any new paintings.
