A Bevy of Baskets from Humble Quilts

I decided to make a little runner with the patriotic baskets. I think it turned out so cute!

This Week in the Sewing Room from Humble Quilts

I saw another little Geo Wa centered quilt  and am using some ideas from that for mine. I do like the way it is coming along. If you are new here this is for a historic quilt panel challenge. Read about it HERE.  The only panels I have left are of George Washington and they are approx 5"x8". With a little quilt you don't invest a mountain of time and fabric. Table Scraps - A Table Topper from Gene Black an Alabama Artist

My "liberated quilting"  table topper is complete.  Because the top and the backing would need different thread colors for the binding,  I chose to hand sew the binding to the back. 


I have to say that the binding looks a lot better than if I machine stitched it in place. This little quilted topper makes me really happy.  It ticks all the boxes.
