Good Morning ~ Harvest Roads from Life in the Scrapatch

Good Morning
Giving thanks for the Sunrise

... and the fabric.

Of course there is fabric!

This is

I bought my "have to have it"  fat quarter bundle

The threads are to be an experiment with hand quilting a pillow.
They are

where I learned "Hidamari" means "Sunny Spot."
How perfect for my sunny scrapatch spot today!

I also bought these

Bloom-Topia quilt along with Fat Quarter Shop: Will you join me? from Carried Away Quilting

Hello quilting friends! I’m excited and honored to share that I will be one of the bloggers sewing along with Fat Quarter Shop for their 2020 charity quilt along, Bloom-Topia! This wonderful program benefits Make-A-Wish of Central & South Texas. This is the 7th year that Fat Quarter Shop has hosted a charity quilt along.

This quilt along is special in that it binds us (pun intended) together in an event that makes a positive difference in the lives of children. We quilters will be called upon to offer participation donations, which will in turn be matched by Fat Quarter ...

New pattern: Star Watch, a jelly roll quilt from Carried Away Quilting

I’m so excited to share my newest jelly roll pattern with you ~ Star Watch! In this quilt, twinkling midnight stars watch over a landscape of log cabins. There’s nothing cozier than a log cabin quilt, but this contemporary layout adds a bit of flair to the cozy!

As with my other new pattern, 9-Patch Pivot, I’ve used the upcoming Harvest Road collection by Lelle Boutique for Moda, which will be available in stores this October. This gorgeous autumn fabric could actually be on display in your home year-round. While some of the prints feature acorns and oak ...

Friends, there are several things you will like about this pattern.  First, it really allows a fabric collection to shine. It’s scrappy ...

Pumpkin Sky Pillow: Let's feature a white pumpkin! from Carried Away Quilting

Hello quilting friends!  I’m popping in today to share a small project I’m working on, another Pumpkin Sky pillow. This one features a white pumpkin with butterscotch-colored flying geese on a scrumptious denim blue background. I still need to add the side borders and then quilt and bind my pillow, but I already love how it looks.

Below is a photo of my original Pumpkin Sky pillow, sewn up in a much more traditional autumn/Halloween color palette and quilted by the super talented Starlit Bear of Starlit Quilts. Isn't her artistry just amazing? Pumpkin Sky is ...

4th of July Flag Block from Carried Away Quilting

Hello quilting friends! I’m popping in today to share a fun little mini I made recently, the 4thof July Flag by Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnet. This block is a free tutorial as part of Lori’s Vintage Block Along series.

The finished block measures 13” x 20” and is just one of many blocks that will be sewn into the finished quilt in Lori’s newest sew along. I didn’t have enough time in my sewing schedule to join the Vintage Block Along, but I sure had fun whipping together this festive flag ...
