I Didn't Plan My Day from Quilting My Way

This morning I was ready to bead. Then I decided I needed to print out my genealogy and get them in a book. Well, that got me off on another project and not crafts.

First I needed to post the last of my floss for Brazilian embroidery. I was almost done when Debbie came to pick up her blocks. We talked for awhile.

Then it was back to getting my eBay done. Once all that was done, I cleaned up my email, which then got me off on another trail - genealogy. I pulled out the information, read a few books ...

The Day Got Away From Me from Quilting My Way

Remember me? I'm the one that plans days and then they don't happen. Well, today was another one of those days.

I had a request from one of the quilters to cut batting and backing for her. I figured I'd do that in the morning......nope.

The morning started out with a call from Sharon. She was asking about the bead order we did. She forgot to order the beads I asked her to order for me. She has all my beads I ordered. We were trying to figure out how I can get them. Patrick and ...

Another Day I Shouldn't Have Planned For! from Quilting My Way

Today I was up and had a few things I wanted to get done. Laundry was one of them. This week seems to be the week where I get a call in the morning and I've got my day taken care of.

Cheryl called first and we decided to meet up at 1 pm in her back yard, keeping social distancing. Then mom called and we chatted some more. She wanted me to come over next week to spend time with her. So, now it looks like Tuesday is that day.

I got 2 loads of laundry in the ...

Amazing How Time Flies from Quilting My Way

Today I was up and ready to get moving. I got on the computer to look for some things for beading. I wanted a mat that would work for my beading. Trouble was, it's $100 for the bead board I wanted. NOPE, not paying that. I will work it out. I need to really think about what I want, and then figure out how I can do it without paying an arm and a leg for it.

Then after a couple hours flew by, I started working on my family history. I was able to add more to my ...

Still Staying Home from Quilting My Way

Today I was up and ready to go. I played games - guess that really not "ready to go." But I spent a while playing games. I wasn't ready to go and work on something.

After games, I went and beaded. I'm now at 32/170. I wish I could show it, but I can't. It's a little different than I thought it would be. Chatted with Sharon, and think I should have made it a little bigger so that the colors would have grouped together better. I can't show it for awhile.

After all that ...

A Completely Unexpected Day! from Quilting My Way

This morning I really couldn't sleep very well. I finally got up and then was able to play games, but really didn't get a chance to.

Mom called and we chatted. I went downstairs to get a few fabrics together for my niece to work on the eagle quilts. I texted and told her to let me know when she's coming back up. Then Rita at the shop called to tell me mom's fabric was in. Mom called and said she got the message and was headed there, after she just got back from the bank ...

Had A Good Day from Quilting My Way

Guess yesterdays outing helped me, because I was in a pretty good mood. I have been getting a little teary eyed at times, but I'm getting through all this. It's hard when you have to stay home all the time.

I slept in today. Actually longer than Patrick. I really didn't want to get up, but I did. Once I was up and had breakfast, I was on the computer. I was surprised I didn't play games this morning, but I was wanting to get a few things done on the computer. I copied 4 letters ...

Things Are Looking UP from Quilting My Way

Today the news says they are talking about loosing up the "stay at home" requests. I'm not sure if that's smart, but I can use a break from having to stay home all day. I'm a little worried that if they do, then we may have to do this all over again. Not only that, I think people will just start loosing up before they are given the okay. Now that it's out there, I think people are going to ignore the safety and do what they used to.

This morning I got a row of ...

Into Week 3 Of The Virus from Quilting My Way

Today started out like it has over the last 3 weeks. It's hard to believe it's 3 weeks, because it feels like 5 weeks at times.

I called and talked to mom. We got going on her family. I received a message yesterday from a gal that was looking for more information on her family. It turned out that she was the daughter Orville Matheson (WWII Veteran) wasn't the father of. His wife - while he was at war - had an affair. So, before Orville came back or just after he came back, she let Orville's sister ...

Getting Half Way On My Spring Cat from Quilting My Way

Today I was enjoying the day. It was one of my quiet days. Patrick was working on his jars. He pulled out his jars from a box that was in the garage. He collected the "Ball" jars for years. He has a couple of them from the 1800's. So, he's been enjoying his "find" again.

I got laundry going. Then I worked on my cross stitching.

I got more outlining done. I also worked on the flowers to the left and in the middle. I really did enjoy working on this.

Then I got on the computer for ...

Mostly Genealogy Today from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and working on laundry. Called and chatted with mom to see how she was doing Apparently not as good as she was yesterday.

I got on the computer right away because I got a text from Phil saying it was Patrick's family and not Emily's that got the email for information. So, I had to get on the computer and email her. It's a second cousin to Patrick. So, I'm finding more relatives of Patrick's lately. There is a long list of 1st and 2nd cousins on his DNA list ...

BE Christmas Party from Quilting My Way

This morning we were up and cleaning. We got the table set for 8 people and we even got a few other things done. There was treats on the table with cheese and crackers.

Then they started arriving. We ended up with 11 of us total, so had to bring down more dishes, silverware (ran out), and mugs. It was so much fun! I couldn't believe how many showed up. It was our whole group! Pat Campbell came from Bellevue with her friend Peggy from another group. They had a blast. We gave out gifts and were luck enough ...

Another Weekly Recap from High Road Quilter

I went to the main library for Family History Day and this artwork was in their rotating collection in their gallery. It looks like it would make a great quilt.  I've often thought about a quilt like this, based on a painting I have at home or log cabins, but this piece makes me think of making it with fusible instead of piecing. It is made in layers.

All of the books pictured here are quilting books. It was hard for me to tear myself away to get back to the genealogy lecture. I did gather a stack to ...

Sometimes I Wonder What The Heck I'm Doing from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up early again....weekend - go figure. So I played a few games. I'm finding myself getting tired of playing games. Maybe that's a good think.

I got started on working a sour dough bread going. I was busy with getting that going. I have it raising now, and realized it may take all day to get that done. Not sure we will have bread tonight but will work on having it tomorrow, I guess.

I called Cherry and asked if I could go over and pick some apples. She has Golden Delicious apples. Patrick ...
