Good morning, my friends. A little more was accomplished here at the Three Cats Ranch yesterday. Have you noticed how there haven't been any pictures of cats lately? I blame them for the lack of progress on things. They've been outside a lot with this nice weather. Clearly, they have not developed a reliable work ethic. Oh well. We soldier on, don't we?

Good morning, my friends. It was another mostly sewing day. We'll make up for all that sewing time today. It's a grocery shopping day, and we have a couple of other errands to run as well. Nevertheless, having a few days to focus on sewing has felt like a little mini vacation.

The morning started with the first stitches on Pieces of the Heart. This is going to stitch up pretty fast, I think.

Good morning, my friends. It was a very busy morning yesterday. Since I hadn’t checked the garden the day before, I really needed to do that. One of the zucchinis had gotten away from me. It wasn’t a true giant yet, but another day going undiscovered and it might have been truly humongous. There were two or three more normal sized ones that I added to the pile already in the fridge. Also, I found another half dozen pickling cucumbers. I’m still a pound short of the four pounds I need for a batch of pickles.

Good morning, my friends. It was a very busy morning yesterday. Since I hadn’t checked the garden the day before, I really needed to do that. One of the zucchinis had gotten away from me. It wasn’t a true giant yet, but another day going undiscovered and it might have been truly humongous. There were two or three more normal sized ones that I added to the pile already in the fridge. Good morning, my friends. It was my monthly pedicure day, and so there wasn't a lot of time left in the day for sewing. Still, I managed to finish up the quilting on the Kittens, and I had about 45 minutes to spend on the Lemurs...a good day, all in all. Starting with the Kittens, just the outer border remained.

Good morning, my friends. There was a lot to do in the kitchen yesterday, and so I went straight to work on that before I did anything else. First, I wanted to try another method with the Granola Cups. We really like these a lot for breakfast, and I think I've finally hit on the magic formula. This was my fourth attempt.

Good morning, my friends. Can you believe it's the last day of July already? My mind is still back in March, as if we've only just returned home from our winter trip. And now...here we are, halfway through summer. We'll be home all of August, but we have a trip planned for mid-September. As the time gets closer, I’ll say more about where we’re going. Also, we’re still sweating the possibility of a gas shortage. If that happens, the trip is off.

After that, I could get back to my sewing with no interruptions...except to let cats in and out. If you know cats, then you know they are always, always, always on the wrong side of the door.

I was home early enough in the afternoon to be able to fit in the day's sewing goals. There was some time in the morning, and so I was able to get my morning chores done too. As for sewing, I stitched up Tiny Treasure #71. This one has stem stitch, straight stitch, and fern stitch.
