 Just wanted to pop in here and share a quick fire update with ya'll.As of Saturday night, the fire has burned across 24,828 acres. It was 19,088 on Friday evening. The majority of the increased acreage is due to the back-burning that has been concentrated on the south side as the fire moved up and over Capitan peek so it is no longer visible to us.  Thank you for all of your very kind comments lately. I don't know what's going on but I stayed up late Thursday night and replied back to all of them individually and then I had a long influx of emails telling me they were undeliverable.

 After I posted on Thursday morning, I made a little circle to fill water troughs, feed the bees, and water the orchard. Hi everyone! Well, it's been a very long time since I've posted. Good grief, where did the time go?!

I’ve finished three assignments in one week and I’ve sewn down the remaining flowers onto the Lunarcy quilt. I even have a plan for finishing the flower centres, I think. Everything is on schedule for the Chameleon to be able to go AWOL for a few days very soon, touch wood!

Maybe my luck is holding because it is the week to unveil the Year of the Dragon appliqué block. My birth sign, and my favourite block on the Lunarcy quilt. Here he is…. one over-spec’d lizard.
