The SM Fair 2017 from Quilt Fabrication

Made it to the fair this weekend, enjoying the 350+ quilts and other art forms from local crafters/artisans on display. I must say, there are some talented people out there! I wish I could show some of the quilts, drawings, and paintings that we saw, but I do not have permission from the artists to post their work - need to keep all things good in blogland!

So this post will be about my quilt entries, because some of them deserve bragging rights. The first quilts we came across were Sawtooth Flowers and Double Jumble Turtles,

The Chosen Ones from Quilt Fabrication

It's that time of year again when the county fair entries are due. Nothing like waiting till the last possible moment! After viewing my Quilt Gallery pages from 2016, and those from 2017, I chose several that are fair worthy.

Recognize any? A couple are pretty obvious, and a few might keep you guessing. Check out the Quilt Gallery pages to figure them out!

Now it's a matter of matching these quilts up with the right division and class, and doing the final paperwork. Anyone else have fairs or local quilt shows to enter? I just might hold ...

Summer Chores from BedofRosesMQ

Here it is almost the end of August and winter is not far away. The last few days I have been gifted some Apricots and Plums. Since canning can't be done on the new stove top I am dehydrating the Apricots.

Yesterday while visiting friends I learned that there is an Electric Water Bath Canner so I will be making jelly with the plums when the new canner gets here on Friday.
