Good morning, my friends. We'll be heading down the dusty trail again in a little while. Our next stop will be Winthrop, Washington, just up the road, and on the other side of the national park. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Let's talk about yesterday's activities.

Good morning, my friends. What a beautiful day of weather we had yesterday! It was the first really warm day of our trip. I packed both long and short-sleeved shirts, and plenty of sweatshirts. Yesterday was the first time I wore a short-sleeved shirt. We're expecting similar weather today.

So we settled on the Skagit-Sauk Reach Trail. It was listed as being five miles, but with almost no elevation gain. We ended up turning around when we reached a point where it was more overgrown than we liked. Some reviewers said there was poison ivy. We didn't see ...

Good afternoon, my friends. Fortunately, we didn't have far to go to reach our latest stop because it was a horrible day of weather. We find ourselves in La Conner, Washington, this afternoon. We couldn't check in here until 1:00. We had just a little more than an hour's drive from Flowing Lake SP, and checkout time there was noon, so it all worked out. I had plenty of time to play my word games, and to make a little more progress on the flock. I love those sheep faces.

After driving those winding roads to yesterday's trailhead, we decided to just do some walking around the park here. The original trail, as described, wasn't a whole lot different from what we could see right here. Flowing Lake is a county park, and there are paths all through the area. You can see them where the dotted lines are in the image below.

After driving those winding roads to yesterday's trailhead, we decided to just do some walking around the park here. The original trail, as described, wasn't a whole lot different from what we could see right here. Flowing Lake is a county park, and there are paths all through the area. It was about 36 miles from where we are, but it took nearly an hour to drive there because of all the twists and turns. Along the way we passed by this barn. (Sorry about the buggy windshield.)

Good morning, my friends. Sheesh. We didn't travel very far yesterday, but it seemed as if everything took longer than expected. It was still a good day with some interesting things to see along the way. As we left Port Angeles, we noticed the spooks have arrived at this house.

Good morning, my friends. It was a hectic day of driving yesterday, but we got some "life" things taken care of. The biggest task was to get our leaking tire fixed. We dropped the truck off, drove to the RV park, checked in, got some lunch, and by then, the truck was ready. It seems we’d picked up a 5mm nail somewhere along the way. So, I dropped Mike at the tire place, and then drove back to the RV park to start some laundry. By the time I had the laundry started, Mike was pulling into our assigned ...
