Good morning, my friends. It was a hectic day of driving yesterday, but we got some "life" things taken care of. The biggest task was to get our leaking tire fixed. We dropped the truck off, drove to the RV park, checked in, got some lunch, and by then, the truck was ready. It seems we’d picked up a 5mm nail somewhere along the way. Good morning, my friends. Since we took advantage of yesterday's nice weather for our hike on the Cape Flattery Trail, we had nothing on the day's agenda. That meant a day of relaxation. We're not sure if Sadie was happy for us to hang around or not. She was doing her Greta Garbo routine: "I vant to be alone." She took her morning nap inside the cubby over our bed, dedicated to the use of the kitties when we're in the camper.

Good morning, my friends. We've made good use of our time here in Olympia, Washington, and we'll be moving on to our next stop in Forks today. We'll have four days in Forks, and we have a lot of sight-seeing on the agenda. If the forecast is to be believed, we should have good weather while we're there.

But then we had so much going on yesterday, and I managed to take dozens of pictures again. Since I know I'll take bazillions of pictures on our hike today, it seemed like a good idea to cut down on the volume for my next post. We're planning to do our hike in a couple of hours...and bonus! It rained last night, but the forecast is for dry weather for the hike. Yay!

This part of Portland comprises several of its most beautiful and beloved public spaces. Clustered together, one can find the Hoyt Arboretum, Washington Park, Pittock Mansion, Oregon Zoo, International Rose Test Garden, and Portland Japanese Garden. Pickles were on the morning’s agenda, and so I made one more trek to the garden to find any cucumbers that could be included. Just that morning, I’d told Mike that none of the red sunflowers had bloomed. I planted all the sunflowers from the many seed packets I had from years gone by. I was pretty sure some red ones were in the mix, but I’d kind of given up on them. And then…there they ...

Possibly things will settle down for a short time. We're gearing up for a trip next month, though. That always means there's lots to do. I'll say more about the trip as it draws closer. Just know we'll be making a loop around Washington State.
