a decluttering story . . . from Count it *all* JOY!

Do you remember when you first started quilting (or any craft, for that matter), and all the tools and gadgets that seemed so necessary were overwhelming in both the scope and the cost of it all? 

I do.

Mission: Organization from Appalachian Quilts

We have now lived here for a little over 5 years.  We still have not unpacked everything.  We still haven't finished remodeling - that's the 'excuse' albeit a valid one.  The house we moved from was over 6,000 s.f.  This house is a little over 1,800 s.f.  While we did get rid of a lot of "stuff", we still had a lot of "stuff".  In our defense, we have moved the house, my shop and the Hubs' shop.  It's a lot of "stuff".  My kitchen is teeny tiny and I have a lot of ...

A Blessing And A Curse from Wedding Dress Blue

About two-and-one-half years ago my sewing room got a major facelift in the form of a cutting table.  YAY!  So many years of cutting on the floor were over.

But, the curse part is that it created space to shove stuff.  A LOT of stuff.

So, it all came out.

A really big pile went to live elsewhere.

The batting pieces were even made into Franken-batting and given a storage space.

And it is all back.

The top of the table is still a bit of a mess, but that can wait until tomorrow…
