Sit n Sew Day from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Fun Fun FUN!!!!!!  That's what a Sit n Sew day is!!!

There were 6 of us and we had a blast. Before I show you what some of us worked on, here's a snapshot of last week when I was trying to get ready for the sew days. I'm not sure how I'm going to make this happen, but NOTHING is to go into the stash room or the storage room unless it's sorted and organized and obviously has a home. I look at the pile of boxes that remain to be unpacked and wonder ...

It's all about the written word!!! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I'm motoring right along with my projects. I wish I had more time for that darn UFO that I'm working on for the UFO group. That's going to be after my classes this coming week. It's going to be tight to get my commitment done on time, but I refuse to cough up another $10.

Speaking of our UFO group, sometimes we get the before pictures of what the person is going to do. Sometimes we don't. All I can say is that Shelly has a HUGE task ahead of her this month. She wants ...

Christmas in July! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I'm on a new mission. It's a very personal one, but I hope some of you can help me with it. I've been attending physio and massage appointments for the past couple of months to deal with the whiplash from that stupid fender bender. While I'm still dealing with the pain on the left side of my neck, the masseuse is digging deeper.

My posture sucks!!!!  The masseuse threatened to make me wear a posture belt if I didn't get my act together. So, I'm to be standing in perfect posture at all times ...

It's all about the bike! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

While I haven't been out on my bike yet this year, that doesn't mean that I don't think about my bike!

OR bicycle fabric!

Margaret mentioned that she was bringing the "scarf" fabric with her. What the heck was she talking about? I remember we chatted about fabric that could be used for an infinity scarf, but for the life of me, I couldn't remember what the print was. She had purchased it for me at a Fabricland in Eastern Canada.

AHA - I got the fabric yesterday. Oh - this will make a blouse! OMG - did you ...

Retreat Day Five from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

It was so nice to wake up with the alarm at the retreat and not have to get up! However this morning when I woke up before the alarm, I did luxuriate in bed for fifteen minutes before the alarm went off, then I got up. Too much to do to just hang out in bed!

In the past, the last morning at the retreat was always a crazy morning with people getting ready to leave from the moment they got up. Now it's a very relaxed atmosphere.

I managed to get the final border on the second scrappy ...

How smart are you?? from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

When I'm working at home, it's like I'm at a real job. I'm downstairs, head down, working hard, and FOCUSED. But having fun at the same time. I'll tell you a bit more about that in a second.

I also come up for air and have a lunch break where I actually sit at the table and eat. I usually have some reading material sitting at the table waiting to be perused. I found this gem of a quote yesterday that I have to share with you. If you're the parents of young children ...

Oh - will you look at the time..... from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I'm messing around with the computer tonight. I was just too tired after teaching all day to wrap my head around the long arm. So I'm e-mailing everybody that I can think of!  While I was messing around on the internet, I found this link. It's pictures of ME and parts of my trunk show when I presented at York Heritage Quilter's Guild earlier this year.  Take a peek!!! Pretty funny.

Then as I'm sitting here, I realized that I won't have time to blog in the morning and we can't let that ...

Productivity is UP from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I just realized that I don't have anything new to tell you today. I'm going to make you wait one more day before I tell you what I did last week. I have some unpacking to do before I show you.

First - I want to let you all know that there is parking in the rear of the new quilt store in Milton. Oh, Look Fabric. Turn north on Martin and then an immediate left. Parking in the rear!  That's good to know. Thanks to Trixy for that information!

The other reason that I'm not sharing ...

A ghost in the studio from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I had a bit of a slow day yesterday! While I had plans to get lots done, I didn't get as much done as I had planned. I chilled out! And it was great!  OH - I did get my group lists created for my ongoing classes and sent them all a very long detailed e-mail for the first class. The girls and I went for a walk as it was a glorious day - I'm sure they'll have their side of the story maybe later this week. That Lexi is a bit lazy sometimes. I had errands to ...

Quilting up a storm! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

So while I'm not addicted to the computer and my technology tools, there are times when I feel like I'm addicted to my sewing machine! Obsessed with sewing? I suppose although I do squeeze in time for reading and other things.

It wasn't a super productive day yesterday for a number of reasons. Lexi mentioned one of them on her blog this morning. We have company now for the next couple of weeks but that's OK. The company is pretty self-sufficient, although there are a few things around here that I want her to sort through ...

A secret...... from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

There is NO way that I'm going to tell you what needs to be done before the crate leaves next week. And NO way that I'm going to tell you what else needs to be done before I leave.  You all think I'm a loonie tune now - and if you didn't, those numbers would tip the scales for sure.  Nope - I'm keeping all that a huge secret.  Even from myself because if I really understood the sheer amount of work that still needs to be done, I might shut down and there is zero time ...

Professional packing! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I should become a professional packer!  I'm really really good at fitting things into my suitcase.  I didn't take a picture of my suitcase, but it is a regulation size carry-on and it's not super big. But I can pack a LOT of stuff in there. I've been known to go to a trade show with several big quilts in my suitcase AND my clothes. You see, then the quilts come home by another means and now there is room in there for fabric!

I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not ...
