What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

Ever since moving to Southern California 30 years ago, I have marveled at the region's windmills, especially the miles of them between my Los Angeles home, and the "Road to California" quilt show in Ontario, CA, that I visit annually. They look like this:

     This a wonderful pattern from Wilmington Prints, although I can't find it online at the moment, called Confetti. It used one 40 strip jelly roll and one 40 strip blues jelly roll (I cut different blues to make mine). It took time to arrange the strip sets in colors that would value grade and move the eye.

I tried a bunch of strip set layouts, did not like a couple of the strips, especially the two toothy looking ones.

Het MQG organiseert elk jaar een quilt ruil. Ik heb dit jaar voor de 3e keer meegedaan. Ik ben gekoppeld aan een liefhebber van uitgesproken kleuren en geometrische vormen.  Vandaar de keuze voor dit quiltje. 

Ik heb al eerder een soortgelijk quiltje gemaakt. Ik wist dus wat ik nodig had. In deze tijd is het heel handig om een voorraadje te hebben. En al zoekend naar een leuke achtergrond stof vond ik een jelly rol met geschikte kleuren. Ik heb 3 verschillende achtergrond stofjes gevonden. Ik kon de blokjes meteen op maat snijden.
