Quiltcon 2019 - The fun part from Luna Lovequilts

I hope you won't be bored of seeing my face since it is a lot-of -me-pictures kind of post ... :-)

These four days at Quiltcon have been a whirlwind ! The fun already started at pre-registration, the evening before the show opens, since I met a few friends while waiting in the queue for getting my name tag. The ceremony awards was held right after and I was particularly anxious to attend it. I got an email ten days before to let me know that two of my quilts were awarded. I was surprised to receive the first prize in the ...

Originally I had planned to write today a blog post about some pouches I made these past two weeks. But I can't hardly focuse on something other than the amazing news I got yesterday. Well you already know it if you also follow me on Instagram because I went with the general flow of quiltcon hashtag ... ;-)

Drum roll please ... My four Quiltcon 2019 entries have been accepted !

Getting Ready for the Fair from From My Carolina Home

The Mountain Regional State Fair turn-in day for the competitions is Monday, and I am entering 23 contests this year in a bunch of divisions.  I actually started early enough in August this year pulling it all together, getting my online entries done,  and completing projects.  I have 5 quilt entries, 5 photography entries, several in crafts and clothing, along with a couple of cooking competitions and for the first time two entries for the gardening division.  The tall board with four photos on the right is a storyboard, the first time I have entered that category.  It is a ...

Avez-vous déjà entendu parler des challenges organisés par Curated Quilts ? Le thème actuel est Connexions / Improvisation et l'image ci-dessous montre la palette de couleurs à utiliser, en totalité ou partie.

GSQA Show Entries from Fleur de Lis Quilts and Accessories

Today was the deadline to enter quilts into the Gulf States Quilting Association biennial show. So yesterday I entered three modern quilts. That's what I'm counting as my finish this week. Although I did get some sewing done, nothing is complete.

I planned to enter five quilts, which is the limit, but decided that two of the quilts are too large. I can't afford all of the costs of entering shows. The two large quilts are too heavy for standard mail and won't fit into the flat rate box with the quilts that are going.
Modern ...

More Fun at the Fair from From My Carolina Home

Going back to the the Expo Building at the State Fair while the judges tasted the offerings in the cooking competition, I wanted to search out the two quilts I hadn’t found on my previous visit, and get some better pictures.   Be My Carolina Neighbor was hanging with its second place ribbon.
