More Fun at the State Fair from From My Carolina Home

Having two year’s worth of projects to choose from meant lots of entries into the Mountain State Fair. I had to go back twice to the expo building to find them all! During the cooking contests, we had about an hour each time to enjoy the shows and exhibits, see the Moo-ternity ward’s newborn calves, little pigs and baby chicks. Many of the entries did not place, but a few more ribbons were discovered. I ran out of quilting categories to enter, so many quilted items were put into crafts in various categories. In the expo building, the ...

#ChallengeAccepted from Where Art & Life Meet

The photo above of my sister, me and my mother, was taken by the amazing photographer, John Kelly. We are in the midst of a heat wave here in New York City; staying in is a welcome relief. Which means more time to design, and during small breaks, watch videos like this one, which my… Continue reading #ChallengeAccepted

Quiltcon is a great show but most importantly a place where you can catch up with friends. I had three quilts in the show and my LOVE quilt was the perfect backdrop for a photo shoot with my friends Kathy, Sarah, Marla and Sophie.

Hé! Je suis de retour de mon voyage à Quiltcon qui avait lieu cette année à Austin ...

Stepping out of that comfort zone from Celtic Thistle Stitches

It is a new decade so time for some changes to this blog. Over the last year the New to Me posts were, for me, less about the link party and more about a nudge to post at least once a month. So I am still going to write posts about anything I have tried out because you know I love to experiment, but won't be hosting the link party as well. I rarely link up to parties these days so it is not very fair to expect other bloggers to do something I am not doing myself!

I ...
