Christmas tree quilt pattern to make in one day from Pieced Brain

Christmas tree quilt pattern to make in one day

Here is a Christmas tree quilt pattern to display your favorite fabrics or to make as a scrappy quilt. Perfect as a wall hanging! I sprinkled it with stars and added the presents under the tree. No water required!

I have many large Christmas quilts and was looking for something I could hang on a wall or use as a throw. So, I designed the Tree of Joy Christmas quilt pattern. I finally got the binding done this weekend while listening to a book. Then, I left the house looking for a cool place to photograph it. I forgot to ...

New pattern: Buffalo Check Christmas Runner from Carried Away Quilting

I am a buffalo check girl. I have buffalo check pillows on our living room sofa, buffalo check napkins in the dining room, and even buffalo check curtains in the guest room. I recently debuted two new patterns, Buffalo Check Autumn and Buffalo Check Winter, which both feature this favorite motif. Today I have another fun pattern to show you, Buffalo Check Christmas Runner!

This holiday runner exudes timeless, homespun charm. Simple trees and scrappy stars rest upon a foundation of the classic buffalo check.  I laid out my new runner with some plates, napkins and simple greens.  Now I ...

New pattern: Buffalo Check Winter from Carried Away Quilting

Last month I introduced you to a brand new pattern called Buffalo Check Autumn. Today I'm pleased to share another pattern in my buffalo check inspired series. This one is named Buffalo Check Winter, and it features modern evergreen trees and festive crimson stars.

My sample quilt was made using Moda Bella Solids and a beautiful new collection by Holly Taylor, called Winter White. This collection celebrates traditional colors and cozy Northwoods-themed prints, which will provide a warm and inviting look for our guest room this winter. This is a holiday quilt which can stay on the bed for ...

O Christmas Tree from Appalachian Quilts

We try not to do any 'work' around the farm on Sunday.  My grandparents never let us plant or work in the garden on Sunday.  There were other strange things we weren't allowed to do, and Hubs and I try to keep it as our day of rest.  We were getting ready to watch our online church service yesterday and we kept thinking and talking about all the things we needed to get done.  We are workaholics.  The best option was to get in the car and leave.  We decided we would take a drive.  We loaded up Princess ...

Christmas on the Wall 11, 12, 13, 14 from Virtual Quilter

More bells today, along with a few other seasonal items.

Only one week before Christmas, so I am guessing there are quite a few items being wrapped, though keep in mind that little fingers, and big ones too, can unwrap something much quicker than we can wrap them!

Christmas Decorating 2019 First Group from Quilts + Color

It's amazing I was able to do as much decorating as I did as I gave my middle child a whole truckload of some great things I had stored in the garage.
I thought there were 2 bins left, but I gave it ALL to him.
I added some things around the base of the tree and it looks different with the new quilt.

I did save a bin of greens and berries so I was able to add to this vignette to make it Christmasy.
I'm sharing the top 2 tiers of my corner bakers rack that ...

Christmas bed runner welcomes overnight guests from Carried Away Quilting

My Christmas bed runner is finished! I did a “decorating test-run” to see how it will look in our guest room with a few other holiday items, and I think the end result is warm and inviting. Now I’m torn, though. Do I put the Christmas décor away until after Thanksgiving, or leave it out and watch my husband shake his head and roll his eyes?

As I mentioned in my post a few weeks ago, a bed runner is a great solution if you don’t have time to make a full quilt, but you want to dress ...

Finished with Decorations from Joanie's Trendy Quilts

I found the pattern for The Tall Christmas Tree in a quilt store in Kentucky. I fell in love with it at first sight sensing that I had to have it!  How unique I thought! That was three years ago.

I came home with the pattern and began shopping at Thousands of Bolts - Only One Nut. On their website they have a Designers Palette where you place fabric swatches from their inventory so you can mix and match. I played with the design palette until I found the perfect fabric for my tree.

If you google "The Tall Christmas Tree ...
