What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

Kelli worked on Friday for the overnight shift, so she needed to sleep on Saturday so she was ready for the Saturday night overnight shift. She asked if Rick and I would watch the kids. We did. We started by going to Carver’s football game. He’s number 20 with the ball. At flag football age, …

Gannon had a doctor’s appointment the other day and Kalissa asked me if I’d keep Carver.  It was only to be about 3 hours max.  I said sure but talked to Carver in advance telling him I had to get a quilt finished and he’d have to be good in the sewing room and let me do it.

So he played on his Ipad while I bound the quilt.

But then he got bored so I tried to think of something to entertain him.  He was awed that the tops lifted off of my old sewing chairs ...

I’m doing a little series of posts that feature old blog posts.  I have been going back and looking at them.  It’s been fun.  I started blogging in June of 2009…WOW.  Over eleven years.  I’m so glad I’ve kept the blog as a diary of sorts…today I’m telling you about a toilet post from 2010 with an update about my toilet today!!

I’ve been accomplishing a lot and have been working hard at keeping myself busy which is easy to do, but I’ve also squeezed in things I’d been missing.  Going on walks is something I love doing…..and it’s something that has been happening daily now.

On this day, Craig called and asked if Karl and I wanted to ...

I’m enjoying my day off today.  Carver came over for a visit so Kalissa could run Gannon back to the doctor for a check.  I thought I would do a little video and show you how I quilt with him around.  Here is a Youtube link in case you have trouble seeing the video in the post.

Rosie got into the fun and it turned out more silly than informative…but I thought the video might brighten your day.

Some tips are:
1-Give kids tools similar to yours.
2-Talk about rules and remind kids of them frequently.
3-Have your ...
