Stamping Cards from From My Carolina Home

I have so much paper, stamps, ink and decorative elements for cards that I will not use them up in my lifetime. I do enjoy the hobby and thought it would be nice to make some cards to sell at our quilt show booth. I think that quilters who do not stamp might be interested in some handmade cards with a sewing theme.

I made these three over a week ago, but haven’t been able to get back to the stamping bench since. All the cards are blank inside.

I packaged them with an envelope in a clear plastic ...

SPRUCE-FUL GREETINGS from Kwilty Pleasures

I happen to love this light spruce green color!
Add some back, gray and white
when making cards and WOWZA!

Check out this amazing Dragonfly card
I found on Pinterest.
 The designer, Rachel Tessman,
had a video and a blog post showing how to make it!
Her blog and business is Stamp Your Art Out!
She's a fun person in her videos...not to over the top!

I used my own stuff and CASEd her card
(copying another scrapers effort) or  simply giving credit to designer!
Under the dragonfly wings is a vellum dragonfly.
The dragonfly is attached to ...

Stamping Fun for Autumn Jubilee from From My Carolina Home

Autumn is my favorite time of year, and I like to send cards to celebrate the season.  I have sent Thanksgiving cards for years and they are always eagerly anticipated by my family who live out of state.  So let’s stamp some cards today for #AutumnJubilee2020!

Ever since I discovered Impression Obsession, I have loved the sentiments and motifs they offer.  I like that you have the option of how your stamps are mounted, so I can save money using my acrylic blocks, plus they take up less space than the wood mounts.  Wood mounts are still available for ...

BEE HAPPY! from Kwilty Pleasures

I bought a set of cardmaking supplies that make me
BEE very happy!

Stampin Up - Honey Bee Stamps and Dies
and the Designer Series Paper.

I can NEVER make "just one card"
and how boring is a plain envelope?

The die for the Honey Comb
is one of my favorites.

Check out the BEE hive turned into a flower pot!

A little bling of black sequins
spice up this BEE hive.

The BEE on this one is a double layer die cut.
Yellow over Black BEEs

A simple vertical design
I love the designer series papers for this set.

BEE ...

paper crafting from Quilt Nut Creations

I did a card making day last week. It was wonderful.
I haven't stamped in so long and it was a well needed day.

I made 24 cards in 4hrs, a record for me!

But my table has looked like this since

I do love it when my two hobbies collide.

Autumn Jubilee Stamping Fun from From My Carolina Home

One of the things I really enjoy is making and sending cards for the Autumn season, and particularly Thanksgiving.  Friends and family love getting them.  With a love of pumpkins and all things Autumn, this is a great time to stamp and play with paper.  I have a couple of stamp sets that are perfect for Autumn cards, plus adding some stickers is a fun way to dress up and add marvelous detail to designs.

For this simple card, I stamped the sentiment in the lower right from the set So Very Thankful, added a ribbon above and a cute ...

TEACHING CARDMAKING from Kwilty Pleasures

I love it when someone sees my work and asks...
can you teach me...

In this case it was making cards.
Shannon, is the daughter of one of my besties.
I have known her since she was bout 12.

She is still a doll!

I made my sewing table
into a card making table.

Shannon caught on quickly
and I knew she would be "hooked"

She was intent on getting things done right.

From the smile here...I think she was
satisfied with the entire process!

When it was all said and done...
These are the cards she took home!
