Quilted Christmas Bucket Finishing from From My Carolina Home

When we left off yesterday, the round tube of the bucket was complete. The next step will be to insert the bottom. Begin pinning it in place right sides together, making sure that the motifs are right side up.

Using lots of pins as this makes it easier to keep the edges together when sewing.

Sew with the bottom piece on top, making sure to smooth out the side section as you go. Don’t be in a hurry, go a few inches and reposition.

Quilted Christmas Bucket from From My Carolina Home

Panels like this one are always enticing. I really like the motifs, but then I get them home and they sit because I can’t decide what to do with them. I loved these Santas, but I don’t need another Christmas wall hanging or lap quilt. So, what to do? I began looking around on the internet for inspiration and spent a lovely Sunday morning noodling on Pinterest. I saw a quilted laundry bucket that I was stunned to find out was a Walmart ad!! Well, this panel could be something like that!
