What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

 I'm a day behind, so I'm going to post twice with both days covered. 

Yesterday - 

Patrick dropped me off at Sandy's house at 6:30 am. We needed to be in Auburn, WA by 8 am - so we thought. It was actually 9 am. We ended up being early, so we sent a text asking if we were in the right place. They were on the way. The facility was awesome, but they had a manikin (sp) that looked real. It was a little spooky. This morning, I needed to be at the museum by 10:15 am. Debbie and I were giving a veteran a quilt that is shy and doesn't want the attention. We worked hard to get this set up and finally arrived. When we got there, Jim wasn't there yet. His neighbor called to see if he was coming and told us he was on the way. 

We went into Sam's office, and she called him in to talk to him about his grandson. Then she told him she had him there for a reason. Chip, Mike Cheek ...

 This morning, I was up after Patrick. Trying to decide if I wanted to get up. lol 

When I did, I had a few things to do. First spent a bit playing my war game. Then I pulled out the pattern for my BE Round Robin. I needed to get it ready to mail and I needed to make up my mind what I wanted to do for the arms. At first, I thought I would do one that was the front material and one that was the back material. Then I changed my mind. 

This morning, Patrick was out the door for his golfing. I got up later and got ready for my physical therapy. 

Arrived early for my appointment. I was chatting with Diane from Spokane about stuff going on with QOV. I'm to the point that I'm tired of the BS and am about ready to disband the group. I will try and calm down and see what this year brings. If I don't get more of the same trouble, then I will continue, but if not, I may call it done.

 Today is Tuesday! Not Monday, Not Wednesday, but Tuesday! Time flies anymore. One minute I'm looking forward to the weekend and Tuesday arrived a lot faster than Monday does. UGH

I was up shortly after Patrick head out to golfing. I needed to be up for Val to stop by. She has another top for me. That will make it about 15 tops that need to be quilted. At this rate we will be doing great to start out the new year. 

After Val left Patrick came home. We had to run up to Olympia for his blood tests ...

 This morning, I could wait to leave for embroidery. I had a ton of stuff to do afterwards. 

Arrived at the grange to find Sandy there. I haven't chatted with her for a while. We had a good visit. She worked on one of her projects that she wanted to get done. I worked on my Seattle piece and started on the mountain. I didn't like it at first but just needed to keep going. I will work more on it later. No photo yet. 

After our meeting, I headed to moms. I was able to drop off ...

 It was embroidery day. I was off and out the door by 9:30 am. I forgot to take the boxes with me to take to Colleen. I will try and do that tomorrow. 

Arrived to see Geralyn already there. Sandy V didn't come because she had a cold or Covid and she wasn't sure which. Think she said she was going to the doctors if she could get in. Geralyn and I enjoyed a bit before more came in. Mom joined us and we were asking about Geralyn's mother, since she's been in and out ...

This morning, Patrick had a few things to do, so I played for a bit before I had to head out to the fair. 

I left a little early to go to Safeway for something to eat later. Then I headed to the fair and was early. Chatted with Kathleen and waited for Geralyn and Sandy to show. I visited with mom and Georgie as well. They were manning the QOV booth. OMG those two are driving me crazy! They came up with a new pattern and talked about how to do it. The 9 patches are just going to ...

This morning, I had a lot of stuff to do before going to the meeting.  It was just Sandy V and I. But I had to stop at the church to pick up a quilt, then to the bank to drop off money. Post office was on the way, so I mailed Bryan's letters. Next to Dutch Brothers for a drink and then Staples to drop off my return to Amazon. 

Finally, to the grange. Sandy was there when I got there. We talked about Seminar and all the stuff she was able to give out as gifts. They ...

This morning, I was ready to go after getting a few things done. 

I thought about getting tea but decided not to. So, I arrived before everyone else at moms. We talked about all the squares and blocks she's getting ready for the group to work on. There must be enough blocks there to make about 6 quilts if not more. She's working on the red ones, which I need for the quilt downstairs. I'm going to take them to the meeting and see if we could work on putting the top together, ready to sew on ...

Before I start this - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHRIS! Today is my brother's 70th birthday. I wish the best for him!

My day started with me heading out the door and getting a few things done before joining Sandy and Geralyn. First was Rite Aid, but what I needed wasn't ready so, I opted to go back after our meeting. Then I headed to the post office to drop off the family group sheets for Bryan. I need to send him a message that it's on the way. After that, went back to Micheals to find the DMC floss ...

Seems like I'm getting back to working on stuff. Geralyn called and asked if I wanted a ride to the grange. Told her I would, and we went to get iced tea at McD's. 

We then went to the grange and had a good visit, visiting all the way there and back too. She worked on her quilt, and I worked on my bonsai tree. 

At 7:45 am, Geralyn picked me up. We headed to DB to get coffee and tea. Then went on to moms to take her up to Puyallup to the "Wooly Group" that does wool applique and quilting. I took along my embroidery for this trip. We all met at the library up there. It's the first Monday of the month. Geralyn goes there every month. I'm not interested in going every month. But since mom knows Jeanne Austin, she wants to go every month.

This morning, I really didn't make plans. I wanted to but then remembered my cousin would be calling me again. I was ready for him today. 

So, I started the day playing games. Then I cleaned up a bit. I worked on the laundry to get it done. I wanted to have less to do this week. Then I vacuumed. Was tired of seeing stuff on the floor. I found some drops as well, that I needed to clean since they wouldn't come up with the vacuum.

This morning, Patrick left for a haircut (thank goodness). I stayed home and played for a bit. Then he came home to head out again. He went to Phils and then moms to fix her quilt frame - and may need to go back and fix it again. It's over 100 years old and someone already messed with it. He couldn't fix it, so he cut the screws off. Now if you wanted to put the feet back on, you can't. So, it's messed up. I don't think there is anything old in moms how that ...

This morning, I was ready to leave for embroidery. I decided to get my Birthday free drink, so left early to get there. Thinking it would be busy. The road to DB was not busy at all. I ordered my tea, and they made it cold when I wanted it hot. So, I said, "It was supposed to be hot." Then I told them, it's okay, I will take that instead. The gal asked if I wanted it hot, and I told her I didn't want to waste the drink she made for me, and I do drink ...

 This morning, I was being lazy for as long as I could. I went out and got Phil some asparagus from the garden. Then we headed out to drop some stuff off for him. Patrick went to Ace Hardware and then back to Phil's. 

We then headed to the casino for the money we get. We played a good 5 hours and figured we only spend $100. Not bad. 

Came home around 4:45 pm and I needed to leave around 5:15 to pick up Geralyn. We had a presentation at the Rainy Daze Quilt Guild meeting. I ...

This morning, I asked who wanted something to drink. We were going to work on the box of beads and the stuff our group is giving out for Seminar. 

I stopped at McD's for 2 ice tea and a coffee. Then headed to the grange. I arrived and Sandy was already there. I waited on her as she headed back to her house to get a couple things. I didn't look around, probably a good thing. I went out to help Sandy V with her box of beads. When I went back in, Sandy E had the table ...

This morning, I tried to sleep in. Just couldn't. So, I was up and ready to play the war game today. It was kingdom against kingdom. Really boring though. That went on for a good 6 or 7 hours. I stopped after 5 hrs. 

Debbie stopped by to pick up the fabric she asked about. I gave it to her. After she left, I worked on getting the information on BE, so I could talk about it on Tuesday. I have a presentation to do for that. It's easy enough, I just need to research information and put ...
