Made Time For Embroidery from Quilting My Way

We didn't have a quilt meeting today. That actually worked out good for me. I was tired of running around all week.

First things first. I needed to get laundry going. So, I spent most of the day paying attention to the laundry. While that was going I wrote a letter to a family member, folded laundry, played games and worked on my bookkeeping.

Then I finally decided it was time to do my embroidery. I wanted to get the flower done to see how it turns out.

I was able to finish the first one and work on ...

A Busy Week This Week from Quilting My Way

Today was the meeting with BE. We had it pretty cool in the Grange. I was remembering how that building was good at keeping things cool.

I worked on my Ruth's Farewell piece.

I was able to finish all the orchid flowers. I do like the way they came out. I didn't do a bad job on them. Cindy brought Sandy and I a "bubble" drink. It wasn't my favorite, but it was okay. Came home and found a card from Cindy about missing me at Seminar. I found out her Birthday is Thursday.

We headed up ...

Another HOT Day! UGH from Quilting My Way

I live in WA because I can't take the heat. I can't take tornado's or any of the other seasonal disasters. I can take an earthquake or two. I haven't been able to do the heat in a very, very long time.

I do wish I had an air conditioner, but we don't. So I suffer. What fun!

We pulled out the fans and I sat and beading this afternoon.

Listening to a new book and beading 7 rows today. That was awesome. I had to quit early because we had our BE virtual group ...

Decided To Finish A QOV Top from Quilting My Way

Today I was really not in the mood to do much. Till I MADE myself go downstairs and see what I could do. I figured IF I got moving with the quilt top, I'd get it finished today. So, I started........and AGAIN made a math error!! I was always good at math, but for some reason quilts are not where I'm good at math. I thought I had the top of the panel done. Yeah, nope! I ended up taking it out and trying again, this time rethinking it and using the calculator. Better chance of getting ...

Back To My Crafts! Woo Hoo from Quilting My Way

This morning I got everything ready and went to our Brazilian Embroidery meeting. I enjoyed hearing from Sandy and Cindy about their trip to Seminar last week. They had a blast. There was a little issue of copywriting, but that ended out working out okay. I paid Cindy for her stuff that she got from here class. I wanted the pattern. She gave me the pattern and instructions.

It was time to get back to this piece. I finished up the petals on this flower (upside down).

I was able to get the center petals done on all 4 flowers ...

Still In A Slump But Doing Fine from Quilting My Way

This morning we talked about going to the movies. I thought that would we fun. So, around noon we headed to the theater and saw "Buzz Lightyear." I love animated movies and that was a good pick me up. I really enjoyed the movie but did miss Buzz Lightyear's voice. This time it was the "Capt America's" voice. I liked Tim Allen better. I did get used to it and really got into the movie. Well worth seeing.

Came back home and I played games. Then I worked on supper. Patrick is working on an excel program to ...

I Actually Worked On Embroidery Today from Quilting My Way

This morning we were out the door heading to Olympia by 7 am. Patrick had to be up there by 8:15. We were waiting in the wrong area, so ended up waiting longer than Patrick wanted to.

While he was in there, I was doing some embroidery.

I worked on the center pansy's. I took out one of the ones I made. I tried to do more flowers like the light colored ones. I did 3 and took them out. I'm going to have to figure out what I need to do for that. I worked on ...

Not My Best Day from Quilting My Way

This morning we were headed to Olympia for Patrick's treatment when we received a call saying he would not be getting his treatment due to tests being too low. Which explains his losing weight. He will go in on Thursday morning to have a couple more tests taken. Cancer sucks!!

We turned around at Centralia and headed over to the eye doctors so I could pick up my glasses. Expensive lenses!!

The sourdough bread I worked on last night needed to be cooked. I let it raise pretty much all day.

It turned out pretty good. It's more ...

Fun Day With Friends from Quilting My Way

This morning I was out the door with BE. Sandy got my ice tea, so I'm good.

We talked about the retreat. Both Sandy and Cindy are going. Cindy is going Wednesday and Sandy Thursday. They were trying to talk me into going. Nope. I didn't get anything done. I tried to do a bullion chain. It's small. That's about all I did. Sandy took the floss box. So, I'm good.

Came home and got to work on the binding.

Nancy and mom came over and dropped off a quilt with a couple forms for ...

A Little Of This And That from Quilting My Way

This morning I wanted to sleep but couldn't so was up early. I ended up listening to my book and playing a game.

Then it was off to the grange to meet my BE gals. It was just 3 of us, but that's normal lately. Sandy 2 is usually busy off here and there.

I got to work on ironing our floss for the Marmalade Cat pattern. I did all of ours.

I was going through the floss and ironing them to straighten them out. We didn't have a lot. Then Sandy was putting the floss in ...

Blah Day from Quilting My Way

Today started out with phone calls that woke us up. First Patrick got junk calls then I got a few calls from friends.

I pretty much played games today. I really didn't know what I wanted to do. I didn't want to watch TV and I didn't really want to work on my beads. I thought I would start the cat, but figured out I marked the fabric on the wrong side. I then washed the pencil marks out and ironed it. Then I sprayed it with starch. Once all that was done I could get moving ...

Still Working On Getting Rid Of My Cough from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick was out the door. It was his golfing day. He was going to go with my brother tomorrow but my brother (Patrick) was sore after working on the farm. So, we get to enjoy tomorrow on our own.

I was busy with playing games, vacuuming, and laundry. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, so I pulled out my embroidery and went downstairs to see if I had the floss color I needed. I didn't but I found one that was close.

It was the best I could do. I finished all the flowers ...

A Fun Group Meeting~ from Quilting My Way

This morning I stopped at Connie's before going to our BE meeting. I dropped off Val's quilt and collected the ones she had done. Debbie came over later to collect them for binding.

Got the the meeting and Cindy was setting up for my Birthday celebration. Both Sandy's arrived shortly there after. It was great! We had sandwiches and goodies. Of course, I ate more than I needed to. It was awesome. Sandy gave me some leaf tea and a tea pot to steam it in. What fun! I collect tea pots! I am thrilled!

I worked ...

Another Week Comes To An End from Quilting My Way

Both of us were up early today. Guess neither one of us could sleep well.

I just spent most of the morning playing games on the tablets. It's pretty bad when I can play 2 games at once. At one time I had 3 going - go figure! I just wasn't in the mood to do much today.

I did work another 2 rows on the beading. Then my phone reminded me of the BE virtual meeting. I was off to the computer to listen and enjoy the group. At first I couldn't get on, so had to ...

One Of Many Trips To Olympia from Quilting My Way

This morning we were up and out the door before 7 am. Patrick had some scans he needed. He was supposed to go yesterday for the other scan but they called and said a part was missing. Today we found out the part was actually broke. Hopefully they can get it fixed by Monday, when he has to go back. We both have to go up on Saturday.

I was hoping to collect the quilts from Sherry for QOV. She was still at the hospital with her surgery and couldn't make it. We decided to try again on Saturday ...

What A Day! Still Busy from Quilting My Way

Yesterday was not a day to write about. There just wasn't anything to write about - other than bowling. So, I decided to call it a night instead. We had "fun night" bowling and I did a 9-pin no tap 300 game. I got $10 for that. That is pretty much all I had to write about.

So today was better or different - which ever way you want to look at it.

Couldn't Make Up My Mind from Quilting My Way

This morning I had to call the bank. Then once that was done, I got laundry going. Once all that was done, I couldn't decide if I wanted to do beading, cross stitch, or embroidery. I did work on getting my embroidery floss straightened with a straight iron.

Love the results! It was nice to get the floss to lay flat.

Then I decided I wanted to do some cross stitching.....

I worked on the gold thread. I'm not thrilled with working on that. But I did. I finished up the empty places on the wolf's mouth ...

More Quilts To Finish Then I Know What To Do With! from Quilting My Way

This morning I enjoyed the morning listening to my book and playing bingo. Patrick slept in, so I enjoyed playing my games.

Once he was up and things were back to normal - or at least seems to be - I decided to get the binding of the QOV quilt done.

I spent the afternoon finishing the binding and then adding the label. I pulled another label out and put that on the quilt we received for a specific person. It's ready to go as well. I have 3 more quilts to put labels on and 2 more that need binding ...

Early Morning Trip To Olympia from Quilting My Way

This morning we were up and out the door to my appointment. We were early, and they took me in at my appointed time. I was hoping to get in early, but no such luck. Everything went well. I will be going back tomorrow morning (8 am), so will be up earlier than today.

I finished all of these.

I am now to the point of working on my flowers.

Stopped at Costco. Had lunch and enjoyed the ride home. Had to stop at the bowling alley first. I need to go back tomorrow for all the paperwork that they ...

What A Day! from Quilting My Way

Another day of gong to Olympia. Seems we live up there with all our appointments. Patrick got his treatment. He ended up waiting 30 mins for the medications. So, I ended up sitting out in the waiting room for about 2 hours. I was okay with that. I took my headphones (ear pieces), and that was hard on my ears. Next time I may just take my headphones instead. I listened to my book on audio. Got interrupted about 4 times, but I was okay with that. People were wanting to see what I was working on.

I finished the ...
