What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

 This morning I wasn't in the mood to work on anything. I played games and I cooked. 

It's funny, Patrick wanted stew, and I did what his mothers recipe said to do. Of course he wanted me to add spices and then I needed to check on this and that. Finally told him if he wanted to make it, go for it. lol He backed off. Then he was surprised that he liked it!! Go figure. I made some rolls to go with it. Turned out to be really good.

 Today started out pretty good. I was up and playing my games. Then I had to do some laundry and clean up a bit. Not that much to clean, but when you have a cat, it's sometimes more often. 

I worked on getting my TAST done. Didn't get it done, but worked on it. 

I'm up to week 32. So, I have a ways to go to get this done. I'm just playing with it. I do like learning new techniques. I have no clue what I will do with it when it's done, but ...

 This morning I was up and moving. I looked out the window and there was SNOW! Love the stuff! We had a small amount yesterday, but this morning there was a good inch or two. 

We got moving on putting more stuff away. Getting rid of stuff. Getting laundry going....oops, behind on that. 

Then I had to get my water bills out. I'm still working on that. It took all afternoon to get my books up to date. I boxed up stuff that was over 7 years old. I now have a "current" and "old" box for the ...

Today I was up and getting laundry started. Then after about 2 loads, forgot and had to go back and do  more. 

I played games - go figure - nothing new there. 

Then Patrick reminded me that I wanted to get some Peanut Brittle made. Of course, I know he wanted that so bad! So, I got moving on it. He helped me when it got down to the last part of cooking it. This morning I was up earlier than normal. Guess I've been thinking about the cruise Patrick wants to go on. I'm exited about it, even though I will have to take Dramamine to get through it. It will be fun to take a cruise. Not sure I like the idea of being away from Sophie that long, but we'll see. It's in the talking stage. lol

This morning turned out quiet.  I got going on laundry since Patrick did his usual piles. 

Funny how the day went on. I was in the middle of a game and laundry (after cleaning the cat litter and cleaning up the kitchen by putting dishes away), when my brother called. We had a very long chat. Funny but we both talked about things we love. He was telling me about a good book that talks about the Civil War.  This morning I woke to feeling a little better but not much. It is our 39th Wedding Anniversary. Patrick shocked me yesterday with a beautiful set of earrings and necklace. 

We pretty much relaxed today. I would have loved to have done more, but Sunday is bowling night. On top of that, when one doesn't feel 100% then we don't do much. 

I worked on my beading to keep me from hurting too much. 

 This morning I had to head over to moms to help her with insurance stuff. I had my brother on the phone at the same time. The guy arrived around 11 am and I finally left moms by 1 pm.  Both him and mom know how to chat!! It was hard to get anything in. I let them chat, then I finally said I needed to go. 

Came home and worked on my beading. I found that one of my pieces was done wrong and I ended up taking out half of it.

 Woke early this morning and played a few games. 

Once Patrick was up, I started to help with cleaning. Got the litter box cleaned while Sophie monitored me. She waited and watched the whole time. Got laundry going. Started working on a sourdough bread for tomorrow. The played some more. I was up and down all day. Got a lot done, but nothing in the way of crafts. 

Went bowling and was still bouncing off the walls. I did pretty good today at bowling. 158, 154, 189. Kept my average so far. I didn't work on the money while ...

 This morning I couldn't get up .... and when I did, it was 10 am. So, my day was pretty much half gone!

I worked on laundry - but didn't get far, just one load. It was a day of being lazy. I played games and did do some cleaning but not a lot. 

I printed out the certificates for the QOV veterans who will be getting a quilt on Tuesday. I couldn't get the printer to work, so used the older one to get them printed. 

We had our virtual meeting at 4 pm. It's the embroidery ...

 This morning I was up and making monkey bread for breakfast. I think it needed to be cooked a little longer, but Patrick liked it. Guess that's all that counts. It did turn out really good. Then I got moving with cleaning up a few things. Once that was going, I also started laundry. 

Funny thing about laundry. I tend to get involved in what I'm doing, that it sits in the machine a lot longer than it should. So, I don't get as much laundry done that way. My side track this time was cross stitching ...

 This morning I slept in - really slept in! I must have slept a good 10 to 11 hours. It felt good, but about 3 pm I wanted to take a nap! I would have if the neighbor hadn't showed up. lol 

We didn't do much today. I played a game - that one that challenges on the weekend. I did work on laundry since I had some from the trip and what we left behind. Sophie was glad we were back and she wanted to make sure we knew she was there. I sat with her most of the ...

 This morning we were up and moving early. Me, not so much. I was playing my game most of the day. I want to get my dragon! lol 

I watched the Seahawks loose with Patrick. They were really bad today. I also tried to cross stitch. 

 This morning I was up and getting laundry going. Then we took our walk before the Seahawks game. What a downer!! We could have won if they wouldn't have given up in the last half!! So disappointing. And YES I watched the whole thing. 

 This morning we cleaned up the house. Patrick did the bathrooms. I vacuumed and cleaned the cat litter - yep I'm the cat litter person. Patrick made a deal with me a long time ago - if we got a cat I had to clean the litter box. I had laundry going as well. 

Then we sat and watched the Seahawk game! I was thrilled to see we won! I watched the whole thing. I also worked on my cross stitching. Didn't get a photo today. Will post one tomorrow. We watched a movie on Netflix and then had to ...

 This morning I was up early. Didn't do much. 

After awhile I sat down to work on my beading. Katt went outside and shoveled more snow out of the driveway. She cleared off the van as well. The weather wasn't good - so the van couldn't get out of the yard. Too covered in snow! 

I called Sharon to let her know I would like to come up this week, but don't know if it will work out. She told me I spent $90 on beads. LOL I didn't realize I did that much. It's ...

 This morning I woke with a headache. I haven't done that in awhile now. So, it was a big surprise. Called and told mom I wouldn't take a chance and com over. She was concerned I may have Covid. Told her I think it's my allergies and not Covid. 

Patrick took care of my stuff for me. While he was gone doing that, I puled out  my ornament to finish. 

I finished up the one on the left. I like it better I think then the one on the right. Tassels are a lot better. I will ...

 I headed over to moms this morning. It was the first time in a month that we were at her place. She had to stay away from everyone when she came back from Vegas a couple weeks ago. It was nice to see everyone. Poor Hildi has a brace on her hand. She had to have surgery after she jabbed a knife in her left hand. She hit an artery and nerves. So, they had to repair the nerves. I was able to give out 4 quilts to get the bindings done. Mom said she would do one, but she ...

 Today was the day I was heading over to Nancy's. She and I have been meeting on Fridays since mom let. Mom's back but is in quarantine since she got back last week. 

I arrived around 9:15 this morning.  She had a couple guys there putting her microwave in. After they left, one of the guys that did the cabinets came to put in another shelf and worked on the mess that was left over. Carmen came and we took a walk.  This morning I picked up some coffee for Nancy and tea for me before heading to her house. When I arrived one of the gals from the Tuesday group was there. Poor Nancy was waiting for the call on her car. It's at the Toyota dealers. We chatted for awhile then went to walk the dog. Picked up mom's mail and dropped it off at her place before walking back to her house. Her friend left and then we started working on our pieces. I'm still working on Ethel's friendship block.
