Decisions Decisions, One Of Those Days from Quilting My Way

Have you had one of those days? You know, the ones where you think of what you want to do, then you decide there is something else that needs done as well...before you know it, there are 3 or 4 things that you need to figure out and you give up to start another one instead....Well, that was my day.

I decided to go downstairs and get moving on more QOV quilt tops. We need have a few quilts ready for presentations before the list of request start coming in. So, I cleaned up the box I have ...

A Full Day Of Bowling from Quilting My Way

I was up and running today. Patrick took me to the "check point" where Theresa picked up three of us. Then we stopped and picked up one more bowler at Spiffy's. We were on our way. Not sure I'm crazy about Theresa's driving, but I did okay. She gets just a little too close to trucks before she passes.

We arrived at St. Helen's OR about 20 mins before it was time to bowl. Our Secretary was a little late, which made it okay. Then we started bowling - but the lanes were having issues. So we ...

A Quiet Day from Quilting My Way

Today I enjoyed not having to get up early today. I was up even though I didn't have to rush.

I got up and played a few games. Then I got my laundry going, cleaned up a mess in the kitchen - which I made. lol

Then I took the afternoon to work on my stitching.

I was able to get a lot done. Not near what I wanted but it's getting there. I'm hoping to start on this months tomorrow or Friday.

I called Judy for the QOV quilt batting and backing. She called me back to ...

And Another Sunday Bites the Dust...... from Quilting My Way

Today was a good day for us. It started out quiet, and then ended up going full steam ahead.

I enjoyed some time to myself this morning. Then I had to get Phil's ciabatta bread. I had it sitting and raising while I went downstairs to work on the quilt top.

I sewed the red, white, and blue strips. I had Patrick look at what I was thinking about doing, and then what I could do. He thought the "what I could do" would be better. So, I'm going to cut squares of blue to go in the ...

Posting, Stitching, and Bowling from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up early. Sophie stayed in bed with Patrick.

After Patrick woke, he was getting his canning stuff together. OR so I thought. He couldn't find any of his canning stuff. It was driving him crazy. He called Phil to see if she borrowed his stuff. Nope, so he ended up going to the store to get his canning equipment that he had at one time. He couldn't find the canning pot, but he used the pot that mom gave him for stew. It worked great for his canning sizes. He took the grape juice ...

Baked Bread, Cross Stitching, And Bowling from Quilting My Way

What a day. It started out with baking bread and ended up with bowling. Guess I can call this a success of a day.....at least I can hope it is.

This morning I woke early and enjoyed playing a few games while laying in bed before moving. I only did that for about a half hour, but it still felt good. Sophie really didn't want me getting up. While I was making the bed, she was letting me know she didn't want to move. When I moved her around, she would tuck her head around letting me ...

What A Day! from Quilting My Way

Sophie woke me up around 7:30 am. Guess she didn't want us sleeping in today. She's so used to Patrick being up at 6:30 am that she figured he must be late, I guess. So, I got up and she didn't have much to do with me!

I worked on my games. Then Patrick went out and picked his grapes. I made him wait before he started cooking the grapes for his juice. I made fudge, because Patrick was hungry for it. Chances are it will be all gone by this Thursday, if that. I ...

Decided To Stay Home from Quilting My Way

Today I was up early. Sophie and I just laid on the bed and I played on the tablet.

Once I got started, I worked on the laundry. Then I started working on the computer. I was having "issues" with the computer and decided to clean it.....well, we all know how that went.....3 hours later, I could get back to using my computer.

So, while it was cleaning, I was stitching.

I was able to get all but 3 of the flower sets done. I really like the way it came out. At times, I didn't think ...

Relaxing Day....And Then There Was Bowling from Quilting My Way

Today I slept in longer than Patrick. That really surprised me. Usually I'm up way before he is. But I put my "blinders" on at 5 am and went back to sleep.

We pretty much had a relaxing day. We watched TV and Netflix.

I made a plum tart today. It had marzipan in it. Patrick went to the store and bought it for me. Then I made the tart. I guess I'm still one of those that doesn't like fruit pies, and having this as a tart wasn't any better. I really didn't care ...

Working On QOV Projects from Quilting My Way

Today I was up and decided to get moving on getting my sewing room set up. You know, when the quilt room is really clean. Then I have to go down and set everything up to get started. So, I pulled the sewing cabinet out and got the sewing machine set up. Then it was pulling out the fabric. Of course, the QOV fabric was easy to find.....but not what I was working on BEFORE I cleaned up my sewing room.....so it was trying to remember where I put the blocks that where already done. Yep, that took ...

A Day of Bowling! from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up early and was able to play a few games before going to meet up with Kim.

Picked Kim up just off the freeway, and we headed down to Longview. We talked about her dad and my mom. It was a quick trip actually with just chatting about this and that. We arrived at Longview a little early because of the meeting before Travel League bowling. Our team was the only one team that had another team to bowl. The other three teams had vacant or the other team pre-bowled. So, we took longer to get ...

Bowling Started Today! from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and out the door to moms. I arrived, and she wasn't home. 5 mins later her and Daisy walked up to the house. I played one of her games while she was walking. She told me Daisy saw the car and decided to come home faster. Mom was worn out from walking the dog.

We got the recipe going for Baguettes. We had a good time. They turned out awesome!

They turned out awesome! I couldn't believe how good they turned out.

While I was there, I worked on Katt's quilt.

Turned ...

We Started Bowling Today! from Quilting My Way

Today was one of those days of relaxing! A day I really enjoy!

Started out with getting up and playing a few games. Then when Patrick finally got up (because he got a call), the day got going.

I took a couple apples from outside and made an "Apple Pull Bread" that took some time. Patrick needed the oven for his roast, but we worked it out. Not only was the roast cooking, so was my bread. It turned out pretty good. I didn't have much, but will have some in the morning for breakfast.

While that was going ...

A Good Day Today from Quilting My Way

I actually had a good nights sleep in a long time. Poor Patrick went to the couch because my allergies were acting up, which meant snoring....poor guy. He wanted me to sleep, so he went to the couch....ahhh.

Sophie stayed with me till I got up. She's a sweetie. She is attached to me, and we aren't too far from each other. She's still coming to me just before I go to sleep and wants TLC.

I did get some laundry done, putting a couple loads out to hang in the breeze. Patrick worked in ...

Most Of The Family Left Today from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up early to see my nephew and his family off. They were heading over to moms and then to the airport. I told them I'd meet them over at moms. My brother and his wife were leaving today as well as my other nephew and his daughter.

I arrived at moms around 9 am. I wanted to chat with my older brother before he left. We had a good walk with Daisy - mom was at PT - and we chatted. It was good to get a few things off my chest. I stayed about an hour ...

Worked On The Thread Catchers......... from Quilting My Way

Today was a good day. I was up and enjoying the day.

So, I worked on my thread catchers. I really need to get them done. I didn't realize it would take so long to get them done, but I'm going to work on it. So, I finished 5 of them today. I have more to do tomorrow since I have the day to myself again. It's really nice having days like this.

I have one more that is almost done. These will be ready for Seminar. I just hope I can sell them.

Then I was ...

Another Tuesday Bites The Dust..... from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up early. I had to be up by 8 am when Sandy stopped by. She brought me some of her chicken eggs. She has chickens and has a hard time giving her eggs away. So, I told her I would take some and so did Cherrill. I was still in my pj's when she came. lol

After she left, I took some eggs to Cherrill. We chatted about our genealogy. She was asking how ancestry works. I'm amazed that she doesn't know much about ancestry, but she's done about 3 books on ...

Got My Computer Back!! from Quilting My Way

Yep, got my computer back!! I'm so happy to see this thing!! It's working great so far. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that firefox was installed on here. Guess I can live with that. I don't want to mess things up, so will live with it for now.

I didn't do much today. I did clean out my bathroom cabinet. I throw out a lot of stuff! I couldn't believe all the stuff we had that was so OLD. It's a smart thing to clean out the cabinets more often ...

Still Without My New Computer! from Quilting My Way

I was hoping, Saturday, that my computer would be returned to me. No such luck. So, I've been without my new computer for about 4 days now. I miss it, even though I'm still learning how to use Windows 10. I'll get there. In the meantime, I'm have to deal with my older laptop that takes forever to load at times. It probably just needs cleaning but I'm having trouble with the battery and electric cord to keep it up on battery time. The kicker is, it's a new battery!

Okay, yesterday we went ...

It Turned Out To Be A Good Day from Quilting My Way

Today was a good day after all. It started out with laundry, vacuuming, and mopping the kitchen floor. I needed to get the floors cleaned and my back would let me do it.

I then spent the afternoon working on the cross stitch. I did put a few pieces in on the puzzle as well.

I didn't get much done today, because I was busy working on my cross stitching.

I'm loving the way this is coming out. It's a lot prettier than I thought it would be. It's coming along great.

After Patrick got home ...
