Getting Another Finish Going from Quilting My Way

This morning I was kicked out to the couch at 5 am. I did good till then. I'm at least getting more sleep then I had been getting in awhile. It feels good to be on the mends.

I worked on my beading today. I wanted to get the cats all done so I can get them put into the ornament. It will give me a finish! We will go to Shipwrecked beads on Wednesday to get the beads that will finish this.

They are looking good.

Now it is time to finish these off.

I then decided to ...

Enjoyed The Day With Mom from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and out the door. I told mom I would come over today.

I got to moms at 10 am. She was working on some quilt stuff in the quilt room. I gave her some reds for more stars. She has been appliqueing stars on blocks. It's amazing how many stars she's made. She gave 20 6" stars blocks to Susy. I told her they were supposed to go to Sue. She said no worries she will give her the next ones. I believe she will have them done by next week!

We then ...

A Day Of Sewing from Quilting My Way

This morning I woke to find Patrick on the couch....guess I must of snored again. This weather has my noise going. Hate allergies.

I wanted to get the quilt top done for QOV. I'm happy to say I did a pretty good job. I was getting frustrated when putting the last border on.

I finally got it on there. I took a dark blue for the outer area. Can't see it from the photo...guess Patrick folded them so you can't see it. It frames the quilt top. I'm happy to say mom's star ...

Beading And Bowling from Quilting My Way

Today I actually slept in. I just couldn't get myself to get up. Patrick told me to just go back to sleep and I did.

When I did get up I was getting laundry going. Linda called to say she was early and would be here soon. She arrived and picked up the frame that she forgot on Monday. After she left, it wasn't 10 mins and Sharon's husband arrived. He dropped off the quilt top and I gave him the blocks from Georgie. Then I went back into the computer room and took care of some ...

Back To QOV Quilt Top from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and enjoying the morning. It's nice when I don't have any plans first thing in the morning. Seems like every Sunday now I'm still in my PJ's till around 10 or 11 am. I just like to feel comfortable I guess.

I got some bread going today. Then I went downstairs to work on another QOV quilt. Since we are about 15 quilts behind, I figured I better get back to working on quilt tops. I had the 9 patches that mom and I started. Then I took the stars mom ...

What A Day.....Still Trying To Breath.....LOL from Quilting My Way

Today I slept in. I couldn't believe I just didn't want to get out of bed. I finally got there.

I played games, and enjoyed my time with Sophie. I couldn't believe the morning was gone. I finally told myself to get going and work on something. I went from beading to cross stitching (again) and quilting. Still couldn't decide. Then I finally figured out that I haven't done much on beading in a couple days, and it was time to work on that.

My bird is looking pretty good. It's coming along. I ...

A Lazy Day - Then Bowling from Quilting My Way

Today I was up early. Patrick slept in. I got moving and made some blueberry muffins from scratch. They turned out really good. I really love the recipe I found on them.

I played a few games and just didn't get moving till around 11 am. We watched the bowling on TV. I really couldn't understand why the let the Big Brother celebrities get away with regular shoes when bowling. They needed to respect the form of bowling. The gal wore heals!! They shouldn't have let her get away with that. PLUS she was guttering the balls ...

All Over The Place Today from Quilting My Way

Today was one of those days where I started one thing and another comes up.

I went downstairs to work on a kit for the QOV sew day. I started out with an idea.....

I thought about this, but it's WAY too BUSY. So much for that thought. I have so many 4" squares it isn't funny anymore. Gave up on thinking about this. Mom was going to cut some of her off white fabric for me. Then I'll rethink this. I was thinking of all one color on the snowball. I'll figure it out later ...

Enjoyed The Day from Quilting My Way

This morning I played games. I just wanted to relax and really didn't want to do much. So, I played games. Patrick slept in, so I didn't get my shower till around 11 am. I didn't mind because I had the morning to myself and Sophie.

Patrick turned on bowling. I sat at the table and worked on my bead work. I really can't see what the photo shows. It's coming along and it is starting to show up better.

The bird's head doesn't look right, but when you look up close it ...

A Day Of Quilting And Bowling from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up.....after a night of not being able to sleep very well. I must of woke up every hour.

We watched bowling on TV today. It was pretty good. I do learn a few tips when I watch that. While we were watching that, I pulled out Katt's quilt to work on.

I have this side to finish and then I'll be done with the first part of straight lines around the border. I have the bottom of the yellow and the bigger area of the black to do next. I'm thinking of ...

Presentation Day for QOV from Quilting My Way

Today I got my stuff ready for our presentation at Sharon Care in Centralia. I took 3 quilts "just in case" and was ready to go.

Picked up Ethel and we were early. So, went to Safeway and got gas. Then headed back to Sharon Care. We arrived and got ready with our plans. The gal there asked if we still could do another veteran or two. I told her we could do one more. She was happy about that and took us to David Eveland. He was a WWII veteran. I sat and talked to him about his service ...

A Day Of Double Bowling from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and enjoying my time. Patrick got up and was eating when I realized I had 45 mins to get moving. So, I went and took my shower and was out the door in a short time. Had to be at the bowling alley for our travel league.

I arrived in time, and got a little irritated with the other team, they took over all the seating in our area. They put their coats on one chair and went and sat in another chair the whole time. So, we took over the table even with their ...

One Busy Week from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up just as Patrick was leaving. I had to get moving so I could get up to Olympia.

I guess before I say what today was like, I should say why I didn't blog last night. It was one busy day, and I just was so tired, blogging didn't cross my mind.

So, here I go - I started out getting up with Patrick. I was out the door by 8:30 am to get to the dentist. I thought they were going to work on my implants but it turned out it was a ...

Not Planning On Making This Again from Quilting My Way

This morning we didn't have any plans, and just enjoyed the morning. Patrick watched his bowling. Since he recorded it, I was able to watch it downstairs.

I worked on the 6" stars, which took a while. It was a major pain with the fabric that is going all one direction. I don't think I will do another stair that has fabric that goes in one direction. This was more of shock to me then anything. I couldn't figure out how the blocks worked out when I was doing the flying geese. I have yet to figure ...

QOV Presentation Day from Quilting My Way

This morning I needed to get ready for our presentation to three of our recipients. First I needed to go to Sharon Care in Centralia to see when we could present one of the WWII veterans there. He can't come out of the Care facility because of his broken leg. (Long story) So, we are going to go there to present him with his quilt.

I realized at the time, I forgot my earrings, so I went to Walmart (YEAH, I KNOW!), and braved the people to pick up some earrings. I got a nice set. There wasn't ...

A Good Day Of Sewing from Quilting My Way

Today we didn't have plans - other than bowling.

Of course Patrick didn't like my stacks in the computer room, so I cleaned up my pile of genealogy and put them away Then I was about to go back downstairs to sew when I remembered we were going to move a few of my plants downstairs because of Sophie. She love my plants. So, I took a plant downstairs, and before I knew it, we were cleaning up the blue room.

In between cleaning, I asked Patrick to help me get a photo of the quilt that's going ...

Cutting More Quilts and Bowling Today from Quilting My Way

This morning I sleep really well. I didn't even get up once last night.

When I did get up, I was enjoying the morning by playing a few games. I also got the kitchen cleaned up - unloading the dishwasher and putting away the breakfast dishes. I then walked in circles and tired to decide what do do. I wanted to work on my cross stitching, my black and white quilt, and I needed to get a few more quilts for QOV cut.

So, I went downstairs and turned the fireplace on. Came back up and finished folding the clothes ...

Enjoyed The Day.....Just The Two Of Us from Quilting My Way

This morning we started out slow. Didn't have anything to really do today. So, we enjoyed watching TV for a bit.

Then bowling was on TV. So, "we" had to watch that - at least it wasn't a football game that wasn't the Seahawks. While "we" watched TV, I went into the computer room to get some of my secretary duties done. Paid bills and got our billing done. I'm happy with the way it came out. Next I will have to close out all this years stuff and get next years in order. I have to ...

Not My Best Day from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up with Patrick and out the door about 10 mins after him. I had to meet mom's cleaning lady at the house. Of course she was there before I was. I let her in and then headed to give Art his gift. Stayed and chatted with him.

Then on the way back from walking over there, I picked up moms mail. Got back to the house and started cutting out the kit that Rita gave us for QOV.

This is the kit that we received. Of course I went through the fabrics and marked them ...

Another Day Of Baking And Bowling from Quilting My Way

This morning we were up and moving. Patrick was cleaning the bathrooms. I was getting started with the Scandinavian Almond Bread. I decided to try and make them in the smaller bread pans. That way I can give one away as a gift if I wanted to. Patrick will cut one for his work tomorrow. I'll cut the other one for tomorrow when the Christmas Party gets going.

I also started bread. I had a bread for Scott and Teri and one for us. The one for Scott and Teri turned out awesome. The one I made for us ...
