What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

This morning, I was up early. Kept waking up because of Patrick getting us serval times for the bathroom. Every time he has something deep fried, he pays for it. It's all his chemo issues. I'm not liking this chemo treatment; he's having more issues than before. He doesn't think so, but I see it wearing him out. 

Ron and I walked today. We got in 4 laps. Then I came in to find Patrick falling asleep in his chair. I went downstairs to cut backing and batting for 2 quilt tops and one set for ...

This morning, I was up with Patrick. He went golfing and I waited about an hour then went out. I went and got the car washed. Then I headed to the bank. Once that was done, I was off to Safeway. I saved 70% on my groceries. Thanks to using the app. 

Came home and called Ron to go walking. We walked 5 laps today. It was nice to get another lap in since it's been a while. We used to do 7, so we are getting back up there. He didn't get to walk much in CA ...

Things here were like any other day. With the exception of the phone calls wishing me a Happy Mother's Day. 

I really didn't want to do much today, so it wasn't that big of a day for me. I enjoyed being able to relax, but then I had to do a few things around the house to clean things up - not that this house is dirty. 

We cleared the table and put a new tablecloth on yesterday. So, I could pull out my beading and get it started all over again. I'm going to enjoy working ...

Last night I couldn't sleep, I was lucky if I could get an hour sleep at a time. My mind was all over the place. So, I got up around 6:30 am. Hopefully tonight I can sleep a lot better. lol 

I played on my tablet. I worked on laundry and a few other things, then watched some old western movies with Patrick. While I was watching TV, I was beading.

 This morning, I took my time getting to the grange. I took my "goldwork" piece with me. I wanted to see if I could finish it. I wasn't feeling great when I left. But I wanted to be with friends. 

This morning, we were woken up by a phone call. That was 8 am. I was hoping to sleep in today. Ron was calling to walk. He had Century Link coming to his house today and wanted to get it out of the way. I called him back about an hour later. We went walking around 10 am. 

I came back in and got laundry going. Then I came into the computer room and worked on sending out emails to QOV recipients letting them know it will be about 6 months. I received an email back saying she (daughter) was ...

Yesterday was one of those days, I didn't do anything but go to a movie. We didn't even walk, because of the weather. 

The movie we saw was "Fall Guy." It was really good. Started out slow but picked it up. At first when they were narrating, I was a little worried it would be one of those movies, but it wasn't. It turned out better than I thought it would when it started. Worth seeing. 

Today, was another rainy day. I worked on getting some things done around the house. First time in a long time ...

This morning, I didn't sleep well. So, I was up and ready to go. I got a few things done before heading to moms. It's quilting Friday. Mom's Friday group is an applique group. Normally I don't like taking a lot over and having to bring it back so I decided I would work on one of mom's Block of the Month quilts. 

Mom ordered this in 2018. She falls in love with some of Debbie M's quilt designs and orders the block of the month. She ordered her most recent one. So, we ...

This morning, Patrick was up at 6 am. I followed around 6:25 am. lol We were ready and out the door by 7 am to get to Patrick's oncology appointment in Olympia. While he was there, I was getting my blood tests done. Then I walked around the facility. It was pouring rain today, so we were limited to where I could walk. I walked inside the building. 

We were heading home and stopped to get my Chai tea and Patrick's coffee. Then it was to get gas.

This morning Patrick headed to golfing and I got laundry going. I was in pain this morning, and all through the day. I just let it be. It's skin pain not heart or chest pain. 

After finishing up with laundry, I pulled my beads out to get them organized. I needed to get them out of the boxes and into the tubes. 

Three months worth of beads. It's from my monthly surprise boxes. High Street Beading Company in MS has some wonderful beads. 

 This morning, we were allowed to sleep in. lol - AND when that happens, I can't! 

I played a few games and was getting ready to meet up with Carol for doing the veteran phone calls again. She texted me, to say she couldn't do it after all. So, I decided not to go with Patrick to check on his appointment to see if the radiology would work on his liver. 

While he was gone, I worked on vacuuming and beading. I also kept my eye on my game. Even had the audiobook going. Just as I was enjoying ...

 This morning Patrick went golfing. It was cold! I walked around the block for 3 or 4 rounds, didn't count. Was listening to the book on audio, so wasn't paying attention. Just knew I wanted to be on by 10 am for our war game. 

Ended up playing that game for 2 hours of "war." Then I sat down to work on my beading. 

One more row was added. The ears are showing up and I like that. I really do need to sit and work on this.

This morning, I was up early but Patrick was up earlier. He went into Centralia and got some doughnuts for us. Not that I need more sweets. 

Then we got to cleaning. I got laundry started and enjoyed playing my games till noon. After that I decided to sit and bead. 

 This morning, I was up early. Had too much light coming through the window! And yet it rained. Go figure. I tend to wake at dawn no matter what. Sometimes I can go back to bed but not today. 

I played games for a while. Then I got up, watered the plants, cleaned up a little. Got laundry going. All that. 

Once that was done, I decided I wanted to bead. 

 This morning Patrick went golfing. I enjoyed the morning by walking and then playing games. There is just something about playing games that is relaxing to me. 

When Patrick got home, we watched the TV show, "Finding Your Roots." I started watching it while he was golfing, so we watched 2 more after. It's fascinating to me. Plus, like them, I want to know where we came from. 

It was time for Patrick to go to the City for a meeting and I had an oncology "zoom" meeting. I talked to her about Patrick needing to change to her ...

 This morning, I was up earlier than I usually am. Patrick didn't go golfing. Good thing, because it rained most of the day. 

I played games for a while and then decided I wanted to do some beading. 

Showed Patrick this piece and then had to tell him what he was looking at.

This morning Patrick was off golfing, and I was playing games enjoying the day. He actually came home early, so I ended up vacuuming while he was home. I would rather do it while he golfs. Got laundry started. 

Then Debbie reminded me we were going to the Lewis County offices to check on our donation boxes. One gal said she would get them to the business and then another said to come get them. So, we went to pick them up. Four boxes later, we headed to the museum to give them one to put out for us. We ...

This morning Patrick was out the door with golfing. I was out the door to drop off the quilt to Connie. Then I headed over to the grange were Sandy and I arrived at the same time. She picked up tea for us. Then we sat and chatted. We both had the class yesterday, so we both got to work on our pieces. Sandy's green is a little different from mine. We even looked on YouTube and watched how another gal attached the mirrors to fabric. It was so much better than what we were taught! It holds the ...

 This morning we were up early. I was tired and didn't want to get up, but we had to be in Olympia by 9:30 am. Katt called when we arrived in Olympia and were about 30 minutes early. So, we sat in the car and chatted with her. It was good to hear from her and she's been on it when it comes to calling us. We get called every other weekend; mom gets the other weekend.
