Working On It from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and moving. Not doing much though. I did unload the dishwasher and try to help with laundry. I can't lift the laundry but I can fold it.

I pretty much played all morning. I'm just not 100% back to "normal" - meaning I'm not feeling like I want to do anything. I'm thinking it's a little depression, but I've always been one to close off and do my own thing. Patrick suggested I take my walk. I figured he had a point, so I went out and walked - this time ...

Working On "Normal" After Surgery from Quilting My Way

Today I thought I would get moving and get my blog going again. It's kinda hard at times when you're dealing with cancer. Not the hard part, but the part where your brain wonders if they got everything, will I have to go through radiation? That kinda of wondering.

I played games again this morning. Then I decided I needed to get off my butt and work on some beading. Since beading is about the only thing I can do right now. I would love to cross stitch, but because of the position of where I hold the ...

Getting Back To Normal from Quilting My Way

Today Patrick was out the door for golfing and I slept for another hour before getting up. Then I played some games I haven't had the chance to over the last 4 days.

Today was a day to get caught up. So, I got laundry started. Finished listening to a book. Then I worked on trying to think of what I wanted to work on. That didn't get me very far at all.

Patrick got home from golfing and we worked on our Christmas cards. We ordered 20 of them, since we haven't been getting very many ...

A Day With Debbie from Quilting My Way

This morning Debbie arrived around 10:30 and we headed out to Shelton. She wanted to show me the quilt shop out there. Annie's Quilt Shop - I think is the name. Anyway, we took a drive up there.

Wow! That shop has a lot of stuff. The funny part is that you have to buy in 1 yard cuts. You can't get 1/4's, 1/2's, etc. I was okay with that.

We saw this panel and wanted it. Trouble is that it was a kit. Not very big. Plus we didn't want the black ...

Finished Beaded Ornament from Quilting My Way

Today I woke to being sore all day. I hated having to get stuff done today instead of going to bed!

I worked on getting the ornament done today and was thrilled when I finally got it done! I listened to by book and worked on the last tassel. I took the peach colored one apart. Then I worked a "delicate" tassel instead of a big honking tassel.

All five of them are done. The one I just finished in the one on the left. Patrick went through them and picked out who was getting what. I have them all ...

Ornament # 4 Finished from Quilting My Way

Today started out at the grange with Sandy and her sister Jeannette. We had a good meeting and I worked on the yellow butterfly for the Orchid embroidery piece I'm working on. I will try and post a photo of that later.

I left early to get home. Patrick and I went to Kaiser to see about me getting my Covid shot and him getting his port flushed. He had to make an appointment, but I got in right away. I was told when I went to the surgeon. that I needed to get the Covid shot. Now that ...

Working On Ornaments from Quilting My Way

This morning we enjoyed sleeping in. When I finally got up and moving, I got to work on cleaning around the house. Got laundry going, cleaned the cat litter box, and went to get my backing and batting ready for tomorrow. Need to drop it off at Connies.

Then I sat down to get to work on my ornaments.

I attached these tassels to this ornament and found I didn't like it. They were clipped off even after I had it completely done. I will rework the tassels and try again later.

I then completed this ornament. I do ...

Keeping Busy Finishing Things Up from Quilting My Way

This morning I wanted to get busy with getting the tassels done for the 3 ornaments I have left to finish. Patrick was helping me on a couple of them.

I got started on this one when my son told hubby that he had to take Ziva into the emergency vets. She was having trouble with her breathing. Just about the time I had this done, Phil texted to say my Grand doggie was put to sleep. Broke my heart. She isn't suffering any more. But she was such a sweet heart!

I spent the rest of the afternoon ...

Two Ornaments Down, Three To Go! from Quilting My Way

This morning I wanted to get back to my ornaments. I started them before even touching my tablet. Patrick was surprised to come in this morning and find me sitting at the table trying to the get the tassels right on the second ornament.

Once that was done, I started putting it together. After I had it all together, Patrick found one of the tassels missing a couple beads. So, I took that tassel off and re-did it.

If you look closely, you will find the 2 different tassels. Each are a set of 3, so every other panel has ...

Top Finished YEAH from Quilting My Way

This morning I decided I wanted to put a couple hours in on the quilt downstairs. If I could get it done and off to Connie on Monday then we will be ahead of schedule.

I finished it sooner than I thought - time wise. It was pretty easy to do. I like the looks of it. I really didn't want a big border to it, but I found that I was 5" short all the way around. So, I added a 2 1/2" strip which put me in the area I wanted to be for a quilt. Connie ...

Quilting & Beading Today from Quilting My Way

This morning I enjoyed sleeping in. Patrick slept in longer than me. lol He was going golfing around 11 am today. As for me, I wasn't sure what I was going to do.

After he was up and moving, I went downstairs to get the heater going. I decided I would spend a couple hours down there to work on the quilt on the wall.

I had my ideas on the wall. I needed to work on how I was going to do this. So, I started sewing the blocks together. I also sewed a few of the bag ...

One Meeting After Another from Quilting My Way

This morning I headed over to the grange for our BE meeting. Sandy, Cindy, Jeannette and I were the ones who attended. We sat down and went over the seminar information. We picked classes we wanted to attend. Sandy and I will probably be taking a couple classes together. I figured out the costs, and wasn't too thrilled but I will be taking 7 classes, so I really can't complain about it.

After that we had a snack for lunch. Then we came home. I was going to stop at Staples and pick up some label paper, but ...

Trying To Get Back To Beading from Quilting My Way

This morning started out pretty good. I started (yep - started) laundry. Then I got moving and vacuumed the house. It was in need after all. Then I sat down planning to work on my beading. BUT Sophie was having none of that and got in my lap. There she slept for 2 1/2 hours. I could have made her get up, but it felt nice and warm on my lap that I didn't want to move. lol

My phone buzzed around 3:30 and Patrick asked if I had my meeting today. Of course I did! Right in ...

Black Friday - Not My Thing from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up with Patrick. He headed off to golfing around 9:30 am since he would have to wait till around 10 am to go out. The frost hit last night, so they had to wait. I got a text around 11 saying he was still waiting.

While I was walking, mom and Debbie called me. It was fun because I went through my walking so fast it didn't seem to bother me. I love to have someone to talk to while walking. Trouble is Ron is in CA right now. Debbie was picking me up ...

Not My Favorite Day from Quilting My Way

Today Patrick headed to golfing and I got up to get laundry started.

While Patrick had to go to town, I decided to just enjoy the morning. Except I had to do my exercises and then head out to walk. I didn't do 7 rounds but did get in 6. Too lazy to go for the last one. I needed water! lol

Then I decided to work on the beading. I seriously need to get this done! I'm not sure why I'm stalling but think it's that I'm getting tired of doing the same pattern ...

Brazilian Embroidery Meeting Today from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick had to wait till 10 am to go golfing. The weather was too cold for them to go out. He came back home for a bit. I got ready and out the door before he went the second time.

I headed to the grange. It was just Sandy and I. We had a great time chatting! We talked for a good hour before we started to work on our projects. I took my beading because I wanted to get this done. I'm still stalling, and I don't know why!! I really do need to finish ...

Thought It Was Sunday! from Quilting My Way

Woke this morning thinking it was Sunday. When I finally got up, I was thinking of what I needed to do today. Not much. Since Sunday is cleaning day. I realized I didn't need to worry about cleaning today, since it was SATURDAY.

Patrick worked out in the yard. I pretty much took the day off today and worked on my beading.

I was happy to get this much done. I started it in the afternoon.

Patrick went for a haircut, and I worked on my beading. He got home and we went out to eat. Came home after ...

Class Today from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick stayed home from golfing. He wanted to take a break. But then he told me he is golfing tomorrow - so not sure where "Break" comes in.

He worked outside most of the day. Dropped leaves off at Phils. While he was doing that, I worked on my exercises and walking. After that, it was time to get on the computer to join my class. Since I was TA, I really didn't get to work on anything. I still have my piece in the drawer. I need to mark my work. One of the things I did ...

Enjoying The Day! from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up around 8 am. It felt good to get up at that time. I got in my exercises and walking. I also sat and enjoyed the morning. Debbie stopped by to drop off some money for the QOV. She had done a presentation at the Centralia Masonic Lodge last night. It went really well.

Patrick arrived around the time Debbie was here. After she left, we headed out. Patrick wanted to spend the day out and about. We went back to the casino. AND actually, did really well. We were there 4 hours this time.

Quiet Day - Thinking Of My Cancer - And Cleaning from Quilting My Way

This morning I slept till 10 am! What a shock! I have been doing that more lately and for some reason when I was showering, I wondered if that is because my body is fighting off the cancer. Probably not, but it was a thought.  Then my mind wondered again on this. My biopsy "spot" hasn't quite healed. It's still there like a cut that doesn't want to heal. It is still a little tinder but not enough to worry about. AND of course, my mind wondered again - what if that biopsy put a hole in the ...
