Good morning, my friends. We had a beautiful day of weather for our drive north to Neah Bay yesterday. We drove just a few miles out of Forks before turning onto state highway 113 heading north. Eventually we turned onto state highway 112 heading west, and then drove along the northern coast of the Olympic Peninsula for the remainder of our journey. The bays we passed by were beautiful.

Good morning, my friends. Alternative titles for this post might have been "Construction Zone Ahead," or "Red Light District," but I'll stick by my old standby of telling you where we are when we reach a new destination. I'll say more about the road construction in a minute.

We'll have four days in Forks, and we have a lot of sight-seeing on the agenda. If the forecast is to be believed, we should have good weather while we're there.

It began with some last-minute packing and preparation, and then, we were on our way. We spotted some fall color as we drove away from our home. I expect we'll a lot more of this as we make our way through Washington.

Good morning, my friends. We find ourselves in Klamath Falls, Oregon, this morning. And YAY! We're not home yet, but at least we're in our home state. And forget everything I said yesterday. We had to spend a couple of hours yesterday morning rerouting ourselves when we heard there was a winter weather advisory for the Cascades and the Siskiyous. It will be hazardous trying to get across the mountain passes with that kind of weather, and so we've rerouted ourselves to head north to the Columbia Gorge and then head west toward home from there.
