when we last met . . . from Count it *all* JOY!

Gosh, I can hardly believe that September has come and gone and it's OCTOBER!

We spent an extra long weekend at Guntersville Lake (the Merkel crew and I). We came home on Monday, and I left for my sister trip to Alaska! It was glorious. We stayed with my nephew and his family in Kodiak, and checked off *all* the Alaska boxes! We saw bears . . .

I caught a salmon (pink) . . .

Took a three sisters photo in front of the Three Sisters mountains . . .

And saw a LOT of incredibly beautiful scenery . . .

And did a LOT of shopping. I even found ...

Happy New Year!

Well, almost. Counting down the remaining hours until 2022 here in good ol' central time . . . two and a half more hours! Figured I'd get one more post in and make it a rounded up forty-five for the year. <grin>

I got a Clover brand pom-pom maker. This thing is such fun . . .

The possibilities are endless! You'll be seeing more of this in 2022. <wink>

a long debriefing (and a giveaway) . . . from Count it *all* JOY!

So it's that time of year when you *blink* and two (or more) ~~days~~ weeks have passed. LOL! Can I get an amen on that?! I always struggle, when I finally make my way back to the ol' blog (which I always do), with what to post. Do I go back and fill in the blanks? Or just pick up at 'today' and pretend nothing happened?

Because I use my blog primarily for me ... as a means to remember events, projects, and life, over the course of the year ... my tendency is to go ahead and fill in the ...

beginnings and ends . . . from Count it *all* JOY!

I love finishes! This morning I can share not one, but TWO! Well, perhaps I should clarify. Not two completely finished, ready-to-put-up-and-enjoy-and-never-need-to-be-worked-on-again projects. But two projects on which I've finished the embroidery stitches! I wrapped up my pumpkin piece (by Crabapple Hill Studios):

I just love this sweet stitchery. I love the character and variety of stitches and colors. It was truly like painting a scene. It's so yummy!

And I finished my teapot table topper . . .

I think the last time I shared anything on it, I was still whipping the hexies together! I finished the hexies up ...
