One of the things I have discovered when doing block drives, is I need to be very prepared with materials prior to the start of each event. So when Connecting Threads had their last sale, I did a bit of shopping (Thanks to a few donations to my blog and some affiliate purchases.)
I woke up this morning to see that Connecting Threads is having a great sale.
It didn't take me long to fill my cart!
I am blown away by how many of you have contacted me to say they made blocks for my donation quilt project. The blocks are now coming in daily and I am sorting them into little stacks for future designs. I have already made one quilt (that I hope to share on Friday) and the second top is just about complete.
Is it time to do a bit of shopping? I took advantage of some of these sales today so I thought I would share them with you.

When I buy fabric, it is rarely for a specific project. I like to have a nice sized stash that allows me to pull fabrics from it when I start a new project. That means I have to be real careful when I buy fabrics because they can sit around for a really ling time.
It also helps that I make mostly scrap quilts - everything seems to work with scraps!
I continue to work on making some baby quilts for one of my quilt buyers.
She plans on donating them so I want to keep the costs down as much as possible.
