Something Old, Something New - A Modern Irish! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

When I was planning out these tutorials, I thought I remembered stashing away all the pieces for a second quilt like this one...

...but lo and behold, my memory was faulty and the pieces I had stashed away were for a different red and white quilt!  But by then I had already committed mentally, so I decided to make it again, but in a different color.  This is a great sixteen-patch quilt that is so much easier than it looks!

Sixteen-patch blocks are so very versatile - lots of ways to arrange the fabrics to achieve a different look ...

Naman from Sew Preeti Quilts

I have completed my Positivity 2.0 Quilt. I have named him Naman. It is a Sanskrit word meaning salutations.

The end of life is generally marked with grief, a sense of loss and even confusion. Although Naman is intended as a comfort quilt for the terminally ill and their family, it is my hope that it will be a salutation to the life lived and memories made.

Leftovers: First Quilt Top of the New Year from Wedding Dress Blue

When THIS QUILT was sized down I was left with 32 extra 16-patch blocks. What to do with them?

Leader-Ender from Wedding Dress Blue

It was time to start a new leader-ender project.  It has become such a habit to have fabric under the needle constantly that I feel a little lost without one.

I wanted to use up more of the small background scraps that were threatening to take over, so I have started to sort them and cut them small:  1-1/2″ squares.

That is a size I also precut as colored scraps after I clean up after projects, so there were enough in the bin to get started.

I am no sure where this will go in the end, but I ...

2019 Finishes from Stash Overflow

Well, this was a shock! I felt like I’d accomplished a lot and had a bunch of finishes this year. As I went through my posts for 2019 I only found one finish that was posted. I do have other finishes so I will go back and post them so I can include them in this roundup.  I need to do a better job of posting my finishes in 2020.

I got 7 quilts back from a long-armer shortly before I left for the Christmas holiday and I already had 4 (I think) quilts waiting for binding. I’ve ...
