After working on my 5 quilts, even the parts that have languished. It was time out for fun sewing. I am starting another round of snails trail. I need to cut some more, which I find meditative, and then, I get to line up the triangles which is nice and tidy, then, I have the challenge of making the colors turn which is good for mental acuity, then, I get to wind bobbins which is satisfying, then, I get to chain sew which is efficient, then, I get to iron it flat which is just like Christmas morning surprises, then ...

First of all, I am done with documenting all the quilts I have completed. Along the way there were some quilt tops that I finished but passed on to others to complete so those are not included.
The final total: 227! I can hardly believe it. They are labeled by name of quilt and by year completed. Live a Colorful Life Quilt Diary
As I became rather obsessed with finishing that project, actual sewing fell by the wayside. So yesterday I caught up on the Moda Blockheads 4 blocks, also known as my Peanut Butter and Jelly quilt.

My Granddaughter was here for a visit and decided to reorganize my extra room. I had no idea what she was doing, until it was too late. read moreI thought I was done with the waffle stamp blocks for the month. I needed to cut 1 1/2 inch squares for the easy breezy blocks I am making. While I was digging around, I found more short pieces and just thought I would sew a couple. Then, after making a few sets, I found shirt strips, and thought I would sew them together for future 4 or 9 patches. And finally, why not add a few more waffle stamp blocks.
It was a 1 1/2 inch kind of day.
I cut several sets of 1 1/2 inch strips for waffle stamp blocks in blue for the rainbow scrap challenge at so scrappy. But, I ran out of the pieced middles. I thought I had made some ahead. sigh...

Once I got this far with this quilt, I wanted to keep going. I started putting them together by color sections. I had a few I needed to correct the sizes on the ends. I tried marking the rows as I added them but, I would skip one and throw the next one off track. I made this during sew groups, so I was probably talking too much haha.
