Sneaky Peeky and Podcast Link from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Hi my friend!  I hope you have been having a good week and a good March so far. The weather has been absolutely nuts around here. One day it is almost 80 the next day it's 40! Mother Nature is certainly not happy.

This week I want to share a little sneaky peeky of something new that I will be debuting either late April or early May. It's called "The Shell Collector."

This new design will be part of a whole new rabbit hole I am hopping down and I'm really excited to share it with you ...

Class and the Escape Artist from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Well hi there! Sorry I missed my post last week. I was in Southern Pines, NC teaching and had been gone for five days. After my drive home I just didn't feel like writing. I wanted to spend time with David and the fuzzy ones. :)

I had a wonderful time with everyone there. Class was really fun! Here are some of my students with their bunny ears.

The weather was totally nuts. When I got to my hotel, it was in the 70's. The next day it was sleeting and freezing! When I got home and went for ...

Packing, Cutting and the Cat from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Hi there!

I've been a busy bunny around here. I'm getting ready to visit the Sandhills Quilters Guild here in NC. We are going to have a fun play date together making my "Beekeeper Pincushion."

This is a finished pincushion by my friend, Moira MacAvoy, from the Charlottesville Quilters Guild class. Isn't it beautiful? Moira is an embroidery artist and it shows in her exquisite work.

David has been cutting hexies for me. I have loaded them in my SHOP if you are interested. I also have a few openings left this year for Play Dates if ...

Heartfelt Notes from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Well helloooooooo!

In celebration of the month of love, I decided to release my Heartfelt Notes pattern for purchase until Valentines Day, February 14.

This pattern is normally exclusive to my "Play Date" participants. It's a really fun class and I love seeing all the creativity that comes from it.

Each of these 4" x 6" postcards features my signature "reverse wool applique" technique.

I love adding all kinds of different embroidery stitches with Valdani perle cotton. I think the variegated threads make the wool felt shine don't you?

There are five postcard designs in the pattern with ...

This week from Bunnyville... from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Hi ya!

First, I want to thank you for your kind comments on last week's post. Blogging has been part of my life for a very long time now and so much has changed. It's not the number of comments I was concerned with, it was the number of readers. Well that and how many ridiculous "Spam" comments I get from bots that I then have to go and delete. It's so annoying! However,  I decided I will continue on here for a while longer and just see how it goes. It's truly nice to share ...

Hoppenings here in Bunnyville from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Hi friend! How's your week been so far? Mine is busy but good. I have been thinking about this little old blog again. There use to be a time when I looked at my stats and saw that around 1200 people read my posts. Now.... I'm lucky there are 100. Is blogging just dead? Has Facebook and all other forms of Social Media really taken over? Hmmmm.... we'll see. What do you think?

Anyway, I wanted to share some "hoppenings" going on around here.

I have a small problem... I'm totally addicted to these cookies!!! LOL ...

Hello there! from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Well helloooooooooo!

Isn't my camellia pretty? David planted it a few weeks ago. The hurricane destroyed the shrubs I had here so I replaced it with this beauty. It's going to be even prettier when it gets big and is covered in white blooms.

On my walk the other morning, I saw all these white heron at the end of my street. They were having a major breakfast buffet!

My "Within and Inch of My Life" project continues to grow. I love my stitching time each day. I have been stitching since March 28 (the day after my ...

A Quick Hop In from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Hi my friend! Hannah here. I'm hopping in really quick for Mama this week as she is getting ready to hit the road and head out on her first "Play Date" of the year. She's super excited to be spending some time with the Charlottesville Quilters at their retreat. She was suppose to teach for them in September, but Hurricane Florence had other plans for her and us! ;) They were kind enough to rebook her at their retreat and I know they will have lots of fun!

Henry and I are friends, but I still like to have ...

Securing Christmas and Hopping into 2019 from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Hi ya!

Thanks so much to everybunny who left a comment about me blogging again. I must say, I'm really happy to be back. I am truly looking forward to some fun times ahead!

So, how was your Christmas? Sabrina decided this was the best place to wait for Santa.

David and I started a tradition five years ago. We have a lovely Christmas Eve dinner and then go to the movies and eat a big bucket of popcorn on Christmas day. hee, hee, hee. It's fabulous! We went to see Aquaman. It was just ok in my ...

Blogging and Henry the VIII from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Well hellooooooooo my friends! Did you think I ran away? Well, I kinda did. I was exhausted from all the goings on in November and traveling to Houston and well, life in general. I needed some time to sit and just "be." Sometimes, as a creative person with a creative business that has to wear many hats and keep up with everything, I simply need to take a break.

I must say that the break did me some good. My world has become so go, go, go with all this social media stuff. It can be exhausting. I have found ...

November is Here! from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Helloooooooooo! Hannah here. Mama apologizes for being a day late with this post. Sometimes her life doesn't go according to plan and she has to go with the flow. This month she asked me to give you an update. So let's hop to it shall we?

First, we are very hoppy that Fall is finally arriving here in Bunnyville. It's been dreadfully hot and Sabrina kitty and I have shed our fur all over the place. Mama said she could have three more bunnies and kitties with the amount of fur that came off us. The humidity ...

Walking into October from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

A warm hellooooooooooo as we walk our way into October!

Well, September didn't turn out at all like I thought it would. What's that saying about best-laid plans? Yep, not at all the dreamy month I thought it would be. Hurricane Florence decided to stir things up a bit here in Wilmington, NC.

First, we are okay. We have tree, roof, fence and water damage, but nothing even close in comparison to what friends and neighbors are dealing with. We are grateful and blessed that Patty and Jim loaned us a generator and were only without power for ...

Hello dear friend! Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit!

I hope this first day of September finds you well. I absolutely, positively LOVE September! Every year, this month feels like the "kickoff" to the season of festivities! Plus, it is the month that starts my most favorite season of all, Fall! In addition, September marks my 11th year writing this blog. Thank you for following along on all my adventures.

Let's catch up shall we?

There is something about our Carolina blue skies. This is an "unedited" view of Bayfield Cottage when I returned from my morning walk. What a beautiful way ...

August Update - Rabbit,Rabbit,Rabbit from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Hello my friends! Well, here we are August already. I must say that every year by August, I'm ready for Summer to end. I've never been a Summer person. Now Fall is a totally different story. So even though I'm sweating and walking around in flip flops, in my mind I'm wearing jeans, a sweater, cowgirl boots and I'm breathing in cool, crisp air..... ahhhhh. :)

Ok, back to reality. Let's catch up from last month shall we?

First off, I'm teaching three classes this year! I would love to see you there!

Hello July - Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Am I the only one who is denial that it is July already? Good gracious....it's going to be Labor Day before we know it. Time is just flying by! This sweet little White Rabbit was a gift for my 50th birthday from my dear friend Lydia. He is handmade and is only about 2" tall. I love him!

So how have you been? Has your summer started off on a fun note? Mine has been full of work. Work in the form of painting the exterior of the house. We are still at it six weeks later, but ...

Hello June! Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

So where did we leave off? Ah yes, I have been traveling a lot! May took me back to Georgia. This time I taught two classes and gave a chat for the Pieceful Heart Quilters Guild. I must say, the name of their guild is a direct reflection of the members. They were sooooooooo nice!! We had the most wonderful time together. They even gave me a standing ovation after my lecture chat! I have never had that happen before and it brought tears to my eyes.

I always get excited when a student adds their own twist to one ...

Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit - Welcome to May from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Well hello there!

Did you miss me? Did you even notice I only posted once last month? My dear friend, Di Cannon did. I am fine. I'm just incredibly busy with traveling and teaching. It's simply easier for me to share my life on my Instagram and Facebook page as I can post from my phone when I'm traveling. Plus, there use to be tons of people who read my blog and now only a few loyal friends hop by to say hi. I've noticed the blogs that have all the big followers etc. are people ...

I'm Late, I'm Late! from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Well, the first of the month came and went. I started writing my blog post and wanted to finish it yesterday, but that didn't happen. So here we are today. Life just gets in the way and I find being a board member of my local quilt guild has turned into somewhat of a "job." Good gracious....it's like herding cats! LOL!!! Luckily, I love those gals to bits and they are fun to hang out with.

So let's see, what has been going on since we last visited? Well, first, I finished vending my very last ...

In All Honesty from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Hi my friends!

As promised, I'm back here on the 15th to "Hop" in and say hi!

So last month, a long time dream of mine came true! I have been attending the Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival for 27 years. I have always wanted to be an instructor at this show and I finally did it! Here is my Wonderland Woods quilt.

What an honor it was and what a fun time my students and I had in class! It was so thrilling to be on stage as an instructor at the "Show and Tell." I remember dreaming of ...
