AJ's Quilt from Sew........This Is My Blog

When my son's friend, AJ, told me he had never been given a quilt I decided that was a problem that needed to be remedied, and the sooner the better.  I knew I wanted to make him something with a geometric design so I searched online and found a free download for "Love Squared" by Lindsey Wright.





















Pinks and reds were definitely out.  I thought (and so did my son, my new quilting advisor) the only option for AJ was blacks and grays.   

The white would become black, and the pinks would be shades of gray with the red ...

Vacation Time ~ Day 5 Ferry Ride from Kelly Ann's Quilting

We woke to gray skies in Renton, packed our bags and headed to downtown Seattle to catch to the ferry to Bainbridge Island. The whole goal of going to the island was the ferry ride. The name of this post would have had more meaning if Andrew's flight wasn't delayed 5 hours...but we made the best of it. As Andrew flew across the country I checked into the hotel we'll call home for a few days...the view of Lake Washington...farppen amazing... and to add some fun to our stay...the other direction from the first pictures is the Boeing factory.
