So in between all the appraisals and training, I have lectured and premiered my new, Fabric Collaborations, workshop to glowing reviews (not that I was shaking in my shoes or anything:)!

Fabric Collage Class Student Creations! from Quilted Joy

I had so much fun last month with my Fabric Collage the Laura Heine Way classes! These classes always fill up so quickly, probably because Laura Heine’s creations are just so cute! I thought I’d share some of the critters my students were working on. By the way, I shared most of these photos on Facebook and Instagram during and right after class. Laura Heine Fabric Collage Class Now Open from Quilted Joy

After an overwhelming response from folks loving all the Laura Heine quilts we’ve been posting from our last class, we’ve decided to offer the class again! In this class we will explore the fabric collage technique that defines the Laura Heine style quilts. We will spend a great deal of time considering value and contrast in an effort to add dimensional aspects to our animals. This is a great class to learn not only a technique but also a way of looking at how to select fabric and color for the right effect.
