I have been trying to organize some of the scraps that are donated to Many Hands and Many Hearts. Right now they are just in bags and in big tubs. They are never going to get used if they continue to be stored this way.
I don't have anything scrappy to share with you today. I think the only scraps I touched this week were a few that I made and had to try and stuff into my scrap bins.
But I did do a lot of other exciting things this week. Hopefully I will have exciting news to share with you soon.

I had a few minutes to sew on Saturday, so I decided to get out the RWB strings and make a few more blocks. I really wanted some mindless sewing!
I spent most of the week assembling quilt tops and sewing backings for flimsies for Many Hands and Many Hearts. Now I have a nice queue built up to go on a longarm.
Really the only scrap quilting I did this week was to start to sew the blocks together on my scrappy HST quilt. So far I just have the bottom two rows completed. Hopefully next week I will be able to complete the top.
I found a little bit of time this week to make the last blocks I need for my scrappy HST project.
All of the time I would have spent playing with scraps this week was used to prepare bindings for donation quilts.
About once a month, I spend a ton of time making scrappy bindings out of leftover bindings from previous quilts. I try and match up colors or themes so they have a better chance of being used in the future. I also go through small leftover bits to see if there are any that I can cut into 2.5" strips to make bindings from. It feels like this chore takes forever!
