This is supposed to be “one like unto the son of man” with “a sharp twoedged sword” coming “out of his mouth”. However, the sword looks a lot like a necktie. I dunno, all my research of this vision shows me no clever solutions to the sword-out-the-mouth deal. Some Jesii look like they’re holding the sword in their mouth the way a dog holds a bone; others just have a sword floating somewhere near the face. I’m trying to limit the design to 64 points so it can morph with the other designs (lion, lamb, cathedral, rose windows ...
I’m not a Christian, but I keep animating Christian symbols in this mandala thingy, to put towards my Animated Apocalypse. Meanwhile maybe it’ll be useful for Christians to stare at, if they’re into that sort of thing.
Today I learned there is a Saint Nina.
She even has her own cross – like a Latin cross with the arms angled down. It looks kind of like an airplane.
Naturally I had to make a crucifix based on it. Given the current state of the airline industry, it’s rather timely.
I’m looking at and thinking about religious symbols all day – ok, I admit it, CHRISTIAN symbols, those symbols I’m surrounded by here in Western Civilization, but which have always been forbidden because I’m an atheist Jew. Well, I’ve lifted that internal prohibition recently, and my symbol-loving mind has been wallowing in symbols like a pig in shit ever since.
