You had to have guessed I wouldn't have waited long to finish this fun one up.

This is my current go to boy colour theme for quilts.
And I'm not sad about it.

I am addicted to this pattern.
I had been loving The Blanket Statement patterns lately.
We carry a few of them in the shop!
This is a newish pattern of Erin's and even better, it's a freebie for signing up for her newsletter.
The Old Market Square quilt.
I made up these two cuties for Rising Mama Collective.
I was originally going to keep one for a store sample but I decided to donate it as well.
I bought the fabric for this quilt back in 2021. Turns out I didn't buy enough and it took a few months to find more of the floral print.
Once I finished the quilt, I didn't love it. It sat for months while I decided what to do with it.
Last fall, an idea came to me.
I turned the quilt from a king size to a queen size, using the leftover blocks as part of the backing fabric. And this is the result.
Does anyone else find making baby quilts addicting? I love how quickly I can put one together. With all the fun kids prints out there now, the possibilities are endless. And because we had all boys, making girl quilts is my favourite.
For this one, I dug deep into my stash and found this adorable bug print. I love the combination of pink and yellow, which I was also able to dig out of my stash.
I knew I wanted to do a plus quilt so I was ready to go.
Hi!
I snuck away on a not so little vacation and ran out of time to schedule some posts before I left. But I'm back, over the jet lag and back at it.
I made this quilt last fall for one of our boys, I actually don't think I even showed you the quilt top while I was working on it. There is a funny story behind it. I saw the quilt posted on a quilt stores instagram and I ordered the kit. The kit came and some of the yardage didn't make sense but I started ...
read moreWhen I saw this alpaca fabric last spring, I knew I had to order it for the shop.
And when it came in, I knew I absolutely had to make a store sample with it.
I have many years of quilting experience. Many. So imagine my surprise when I had as much trouble with this quilt than I did lol.
But this quilt.
It feels a lot longer than 2 months ago it was Christmas. I hadn't planned on making any quilted gifts this year but in mid December, a friend of mine was scheduled for surgery and sadly, it meant she would have to be in hospital over Christmas. I absolutely had to make her a quilt.
I had some leftover layer cake squares from the shop and decided to do one of my favourite fast quilts, Layers of Charm.
Hello, hello.
It's be a while!
Also, how is it the middle of February already?
Let's get to the quilts. I wanted to make a new table runner for Christmas. I got it all cut out and it sat on my table until the middle of January lol.
And when I went to put it together, it's important to read the directions thoroughly.
The plan was for this sawtooth star runner.
Took some time and got these two baby quilts finished up.
I think they are perfect for two twin boys.
I had offered to do a door prize for an event. I thought they would give me some warning for when they needed it.
Imagine my surprise when I was told the day of.
Luckily I have a quick table runner pattern that came to the rescue.
I cut this quilt out planning on it being a baby quilt.
I should have realized from the cutting instructions that no way was this going to be a baby quilt lol.
And then I quilted it so quickly, I didn't even get a chance to take a picture.
Soon as I saw this pattern, I knew I had to make it.
I probably should have taken the quilt down and gotten better pictures lol.
This pattern is from Lo & Behold Stitchery and I used my current favourite colour combo.
This was a fast one.
I had about 3 weeks to get this pieced, quilted and bound.
I am addicted to this pattern for baby quilts and can not wait to make another one already.
This is the second to last grad quilt I'll be making for awhile.
And, as always, I absolutely love how this one turned out.
