What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

Today was quilting at moms. We had about 7 of us. Edith came for a visit as well. She's not doing  very well. She's the one that lived up the hill from me before she moved to Stillwaters Estates. 

I worked on the binding of Val's dad's quilt. 

 I realized this morning I hadn't done my blog last night. Not sure why. It was a day at moms for quilting. I took the quilts that I have for stitching down bindings. I also had to get QOV "volunteer logs" entered into the computer to share with Ricardo. He's helping us determine how long it takes to make a quilt for each veteran. Since so many of us do the quilts, each person has a different time that it takes to do blocks, tops and more.

 This morning I needed to get off to moms. I was early. Only because I was worried about the traffic on I-5. I was the first to arrive. Mom invited another Nancy to the group. We had 9 of us today and were missing about 2 or 3 of the group. I told mom if it gets too busy I will stop coming or just leave. I don't like it "crowded." She didn't like that comment and and said I would have to pick another day to spend time together. I told her the last time we did ...

 This morning I loaded the car with all the quilts from the back room. Then I went to the bank to collect the money for bowling. Brought that back home. Then headed to moms. 

Arrived before most everyone. We had 8 people there today. It was a good meeting day. Kathleen came and I showed her all her quilts that mom has done. She is the one that bastes moms quilt for her. Mom quilted on her quilt. I left 2  quilts at moms. Michele took one for stitching the binding. I also picked up several blocks that Georgie finished ...

 This morning I was up and enjoying an hour before heading off to moms. I arrived early since I needed to visit with my son.

There were 8 of us today. It was kinda nice, but there is one person I have a hard time having fun around. We didn't think she would come back, but she's been there every week. I'm almost to the point of not going any more. 

 Today I was out the door with some scraps and quilts. I had 2 quilts that needed the label on them. One was mine. 

Got to moms and was thrilled there was only 6 of us. The regular group. I really enjoy a smaller group. Hildi told me the "other Nancy" wants to join our QOV group. That would be awesome. At this rate there will be 20 of us for QOV. The more we have the more help we can get from others. 

 Today was our meeting at moms. I took some quilts with me to put the labels on. I got one label on, when Debbie arrived. I gave her the quilt because it's her neighbors quilt for her brother. I thought I would get another label on, but I didn't. I was just too tired of all this QOV stuff going on. I did enjoy my day with friends. I almost let because there were too many quilters there. A few left early so it wasn't so bad. I'm having a hard time staying when there are ...

 Quilting at moms. It ended up with about 10 people. Getting too big at moms. I may stop going at times. I almost left, but then I couldn't get out because someone parked behind me. Hildi gave me some fabric and blocks to add to the QOV stash. 

 Today started out with me over sleeping. I woke at 9 am and had to get moving fast. It was a day at moms. I had to stop at the post office to drop off a package. I was shocked to find that no one was at the post office and not even cars outside. I thought it was closed at first! The gal at the counter was working on stuff, and laughed at me for saying it was looking like they were closed.

Here we go again, round and round the week. Today was quilting at moms. I took my quilt and worked on the binding. Mom took part of the quilt and worked on one side while I worked on another. We got the quilt done! 

 Yesterday was quilting at moms. So, I headed over there. We were expecting one of the gals to come but she didn't and surprisingly we had all relaxed when we figured she wasn't coming. 

I worked on the binding of the quilt I took last time. I need to get it done, but didn't. I've got 2 sides done and right now it's not in a big hurry to get them done. I did get one of my panels in yesterday. 

Of course Sophie had to check it out as well. 

This morning I was having to load the car with a list of stuff. Loading the car was putting 2 tubes of fabric, fabric for Barb and Donna, quilt to work on, and my quilt top. 

First stop was at the church to drop off a quilt top. Then next stop was going to Donna's house - but went to the wrong area. Had to call her and ask where she was. I finally go there. We chatted and she took some fabric. I also dropped off 3 of our panels for her. Next stop was at moms, where I ...

This morning I was running around trying to get everything ready for quilting. I went to Safeway for Lettuce. We needed something for lunch. Then I headed to the office at Stillwaters to collect moms mail. Was told mom told her not to worry about it, so they didn't collect it. Actually I told mom I would collect it each week from the office but she thought I said I would take care of it each week. So, I called Nancy to see if she had the mail key - thankfully she did. I got to moms and started heating ...

 I packed up the quilt tops, thread, quilt, project and veggies to go to moms. My first stop was to Connie to drop off the quilt tops to be quilted for QOV. Then it was off to moms. I showed the quilt to the gals. This was the quilt that Sandy gave me to see if we could use it for a QOV quilt. It is also a Queen size quilt. After a lot of chattering, they decided it would not work. It's too big, and the theme (even though red, white and blue), didn't go with patriotic ...

 As always, today was Friday and quilting day at moms. We had a new member show up today. I knew her from our quilt guild. We've known each other for about 15 years. 

There were 6 of us today. I worked on my block that needs to be finished. It will help to get this quilt all together. 

Today was Friday and every Friday we meet at mom's for quilting. Actually it's our applique group. So, I headed over there. Trouble was, I forgot to go to the church to pick up the quilts that were quilted. 

I arrived at moms after having to drive around the long way. They had the on ramp of the I5 closed. So, after going all the way around, then getting on I5 at Main Street, I was on my way to moms. Got there before everyone else.

This morning was our group meeting day. I took the block that I was trying to get done. 

 This morning I got stuff ready to go. I needed to take the QOV quilt to the museum. (Realizing at this moment - it's still in the car!)

I headed to moms. I had my applique work to take with me. I also took the quilt and something else. I arrived early and we were getting ready for everyone. I worked on my crackers and then worked on a dip for everyone. Once that was done I was watching Daisy in the yard. She ticked me off because she didn't want to come back in. It was already getting ...

 Today I was up and getting ready to go to moms. I needed to get a few things together and then head out. All went well. 

I worked on the label for the QOV quilt that I've had in the other room for 3 months. I'm happy to say, it was done. Then I pulled out my "My Own Garden" block and got to work on that. 

I was able to finish the right leaf and put the stem on. As one can see, I'm putting the left leaf on now. Then I can work on the ...

This morning I was off to moms. I picked up a coffee for Nancy. Picked her up and took her to moms. It worked out great, because I could leave on time and not have mom say, "Hold on....." "Can you help me a sec...."  I pulled out my block that I haven't worked on for at least 4 years.
