Stellar BOM – Block 11 from Blossom Heart Quilts

Can you believe there’s only one more block left of the Stellar BOM?! Craaaazy town… Or should I say craaaazy solar system?! *knee slap* Oh I so love me a dad joke. Anyhow, block 11 is another sawtooth-esque star, with a twist on the flying geese. Quite literally!

Stellar BOM – Block 10 from Blossom Heart Quilts

Whirling and twirling, this quilt block is a fun one using the parallelogram die from the AccuQuilt QUBE set. These ones always trick me at first with how to orient them when piecing the half-square triangle pieces to the ends, but thankfully I didn’t need to pull out the seam ripper on this one.

Stellar BOM – Block 8 from Blossom Heart Quilts

Is it a supernova? Or Saturn? I’m not 100% sure! Saturn was my original inspiration, but in bright, sunny yellow, I’m now thinking perhaps it’s more a supernova…

EQ8 Download – Treasure Hunt Quilt from Blossom Heart Quilts

Today, I shared a finished quilt that I made with my quilting bee. It was made using the free Treasure Hunt quilt block tutorial from my blog series, The Bee Hive Quilts, and is a foundation paper pieced block that I had fun colouring in a certain way. This is what each block looked like by itself:

I’m feeling very still⁣

And I think my spaceship knows which way to go⁣

Block 7 from Stellar BOM with AccuQuilt Qube by BlossomHeartQuilts.com

Download the free pattern for block 7 here

Block 7 is quite possibly one of my favourite non-star blocks… It’s a bit fun! A spaceship taking off into the sky, zooming through the stars and planetary bodies. Like block 6.

Block 6! Let’s not forget block 6, it’s a moon… or a planet… or where ever it is that the spaceship is headed. And that pink Alison Glass print with the symbols? Definitely a ...

Aurifil thread block of the month by BlossomHeartQuilts.com
