Design Wall Monday, June 22, 2020 from Small Quilts and Doll Quilts

My cabin design wall looks the same as it did a week ago.  We had workmen at the Grand Rapids house painting the outside trim, and also had company.  Some weeks just slip away, don’t they? The zig zag quilt is stalled at this point, but I will have to get busy on it, as guests will be in this bed for the July 4th weekend, and the quilt will have to be moved. I am wishing the “lights” were

Design Wall Monday - June 15, 2020 from Small Quilts and Doll Quilts

June 15, 1963.....57 years ago today.....my wedding day.  Such wonderful memories, and such fun to still be in love with my dear hubby.  God is good. Finish #2 for March 2020............. from Exuberant Color

Binding is the same paisley as the back.  It is a Liberty fabric from a series that Kaffe did the coloration on a few years ago.  Kaffe Meets Plaid finished around 70" x 95".

The fabrics in the triangles are from the Kaffe Collective and date all the way back from the 1990s until August 2016 and plaids I have collected for 40+ years.  There are a couple Martha Negley fabrics in there too.  I am SO happy this one is a finished quilt.

Click on the photos for a closer look at the fabrics.

If they are in boxes or plastic containers and stacked, I forget about them and forget to use them. But, I discovered a new to me blog of a quilter who uses recycled fabric and my interest was renewed. She has a lot of free patterns and I really like reading about her plans and thinking. Her free patterns are here. Her blog quilted twins is here. There is ...
