Periwinkle Quilt Top....DONE ! from May Your Bobbin Always Be Full


I spent a few days last week piecing together 

all of the Periwinkle blocks... 


Here is the top laying on the work table...





These are all hand cut pieces...

not paper pieced





With all of the bias cut edges,

this was challenging to line up 

all of the pieces and make them fit...





I pawed through the fabric cupboards

and auditioned border fabrics...

I am going with the yellow inner border

and the Marcia Brady Flower Power outer border.





The yellow inner border is on...





It is ready for the outer border...





Here I am at the big board

I am making progress on the Periwinkle Quilt



102 Star Blocks pieced together...





Ready to trim the blocks to 6 inches...





This Bias Square ruler is my very favorite

for trimming up blocks...





I also use the revolving mat

to make the trimming go faster...





102 blocks all trimmed up and ready for

the design wall...





First two rows up on the wall...




8 rows up on the wall...





I have admired this quilt design for years

and it is finally a reality...





42 dark star blocks left...





I am placing the dark stars around the

outside as a border ...
