Lost: Cityscape Quilt Top from Lost Quilt Come Home Page

Lauren Kermode is asking for help in locating a quilt top that she calls Waters Edge Nighttime Cityscape. This quilt is the quilt maker’s original design, approximately 45″ x 60″ made of black, orange, and off white fabrics.  The skyscrapers on the cityscape quilt are made from a black fabric that has tiny red (and some gray?) squares on it. Lauren explained, ” This guy is a city sky at Sunset with a large Rising Moon. All of the skyscrapers are also reflected into the blue black swirling water.”

Lost: Colorful Paisley Quilt from Lost Quilt Come Home Page

Shelly Welton is asking for help in finding a quilt that was left in a laundromat in Kentwood, Michigan in 2007. The quilt measures 100′ x 100″ and is made of 11 different colors of paisley fabrics, collected over time. In 2002 Shelly designed the quilt pattern (all squares) on graph paper, and machine pieced it together. The backing has a couple rows of the print running across the top, and the rest is all plain white/cream. Thick embroidery thread was used to tie the quilt.

Missing: 3 Glenda Wilder Mini Quilts from Lost Quilt Come Home Page

Glenda Wilder is asking for help in locating three quilts, all her original design. These quilts were shipped from Hannover, Germany to the US, to be used as display items in a quilt show in Houston, TX. A box containing quilts was shipped on October 16, 2018 from Germany to Houston, TX. When it was received at the show, the package was sealed and inside was a note from the shipping company’s processing center in Atlanta, Georgia, stating that “the box came open and some items may have been lost”. Patricia Winship is asking for help with finding a Cathedral Window Quilt with a Mariner’s Compass made of blue, green, and yellow fabrics with some red accents and a red backing fabric. The Mariner’s Star has 64 points.  Patricia machine pieced and quilted this stunning queen size quilt.

Stolen: Graduation 2016 Quilt from Lost Quilt Come Home Page

Becky Robinson made a colorful quilt to celebrate her grandson’s 2016 graduation of red, blue, green, and white fabrics.   She also included Pickles comic strip panels, pictures of rolled-up diplomas, airplanes, and golf images.  The quilt was machine pieced and quilted.

Raymond’s quilt was last seen on July 5, 2018 in his living room in Lincolnton, North Carolina. It was stolen in a burglary later that week. The family assumes “the quilt was used to pad or conceal the two TVs that were also stolen.”

Missing: Gray Bird at Dusk Quilt from Lost Quilt Come Home Page

Julie Bagamary reports that a grey and white 28″ x 23″ quilt was stolen from the Mountain Made Gallery in Ashville, North Carolina.  It was last seen at the gallery on July 29, 2018.  This quilt uses all batik fabrics,with a heavily hand embroidered large gray bird on a post. It was machine pieced and hand appliqued.
There is a label on the back of the quilt which reads, “Gray Bird At Dusk”

Gabriella Duncan is looking for a 50″x 62″ quilt she designed of turquoise, mauve and charcoal fabrics she personally procion dyed. Dorothy Ragland was wondering where her quilt was, so in March 2011 the missing quilt was posted on this website.

She had entered her 30″ by 30″ quilt into the Keepsake Quilting’s “Home Sweet Home” contest in 2008. It was supposed to be returned to her in October, but she never received it. They kept saying they were late, but would send it soon. In February 2009, they said they returned it the previous October but couldn’t provide a tracking number.
