Loving this quilt... from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

I didn't get everything done that I had planned.  LOL!  I knew that wasn't going to happen.  :)  I did get the binding sewn by hand on the cardinal quilt.  I also got this queen size quilt loaded and about 2/3 of it quilted.
I'll have to say that I'm anxious to post a pic of the whole quilt once I get it finished.  This is a customer quilt that is pieced from 10" squares.  The most awesome thing about it is that none of the fabrics go together normally but once pieced together they look ...

Beautiful Cardinal Quilt from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

Yesterday I quilted this beautiful customer quilt.  I just love it!  She did an awesome job piecing it too.  As I was quilting it I kept thinking that I needed one of those Cardinal panels.  I may end up buying one but then again who knows when I would have time to sew it up.  :)  Anyway...I enjoyed quilting this beauty.
We decided to use this quilting design because she didn't want the quilting to compete with the cardinals.  That's also another reason that I love Glide thread.  It's so fine that it doesn't take away ...

A little more progress... from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

Felt a little better yesterday so I tried to get in a little quilting.  I'm loving this gold thread on this backing.
I still did not get it finished as my energy level is still not back to normal and I also had to do a little housework.  :(  I only have about 20 more minutes of quilting and then it will be finished and ready to ship out.  I am behind schedule now, I had put my back out then this horrid virus so I'm going to have to really buckle down and get some stuff done!
 As ...

Two new blocks...Lori Holt's Block Along from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

Since my last post a few days ago this is what I have made.  :)  These are the first two blocks of Lori Holt's Block-Along.  These fabrics are a little different from what I usually go with but it's fun sometimes to step out of the norm.  This star block is 12"
This is block #2!  This one is 15" and went together pretty quick.
Here they are together on my design wall.
Here is a quick pic of the blocks that I have on my design wall.  The purple tulip block is my newest applique quilt.  That is ...

Published Quilting from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

I'm excited to say that I had the honor of quilting this beautiful quilt that was published in the April 2019 issue of American Patchwork & Quilting!!!!
The awesome Tara Baisden of Quilter's Ridge designed and pieced it.  :)  Let me just say that in person the quilt is even more beautiful.  American Patchwork & Quilting is hosting a sew-along on FB if anyone wants to join.  :)
Yep! It's there in the fine print.  :)  I have to say that this was very exciting to me!  Of course, when the magazine came out I bought 5 copies!  LOL!  Richard and I ...

New-to-Me Handi Quilter 16 from Lotus Cove Quilting

Yes, I have finally acquired my own long arm!

Handi Quilter 16 with 10′ Rollers

After renting time on the great long arm quilting machines at Jackie Lynn’s in Irondequoit for several quilts, I wanted to have my own machine but really couldn’t justify the price of a new one. So when a friend at Genesee Valley Quilt Club posted this older HQ16, I jumped at the chance. Turns out, another member had purchased a new Nolting, so sold his Gammill to the HQ owner, who sold the HQ to me. Rather like falling dominoes!

Handi Quilter 16 ...

Cowboy Christmas... from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

Just a quick little post this morning so that I can get my day started.  Here is a customer quilt that I did a few days ago.  She didn't have the piecing finished before Christmas but it will be ready to use for next Christmas now.  :)
Such fun western themed Christmas fabric.
I quilted it with gold stars.
Here is another one that I can't show the whole quilt but I had to deal with this wavy border.  :(  I will never say anything bad about anyone's quilt but there are some that really make me work for ...

Crackers and Customer Quilts.... from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

Yesterday I spent most of the day piddling instead of sewing.  I did get a customer quilt loaded on the longarm.  It's a small one with a few issues but I will get it quilted sometime today.

I did piece 5 more Cracker blocks.  Nothing major but just added a few more to the stack.  I did a little cleaning and organizing up in my sewing room too.
Here is another random customer quilt that I quilted recently.  Just to add another pic to this blog post.  LOL!  A classic looking quilt that I really enjoyed quilting.  If I ...

One of my old ones and a customer quilt from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

I finished this customer quilt up around 12:30am last night.  It measures 90x90.  With only 5 blocks across, the blocks are big.  She loves her quilts quilted "loosely" so I just quilted a big meander.
I have made several quilts using this block in the past and have always loved them.  Seeing hers really makes me want to make another one for myself.  :)
I love quilting her quilts because everything is so precise.  That sure makes me job easier.
The other day while at my mom's I saw that she had this quilt that I had made years ...

Quilting Eye Candy! from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

A little eye candy!  Here are a few customer quilts that I have quilted the past few days.

First up, is this adorable sheep quilt!  They are just too cute!  This was a big quilt...queen size if I remember correctly.
Here is a close up of one of the sheep.  As you can see they are all fuzzy.  They have beads for eyes and nose.  Just too cute!
A beautiful hand pieced applecore quilt!  Lovely!  I am in the process of doing the binding on the scalloped edges.
Then this beautiful umbrella girl!  Sorry it's sideways.  LOL!  For ...

Beautifully Hand Pieced.... from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

Yesterday I finished up this beautiful quilt that my SIL, Kellie made.  I love this quilt!  :)
I forgot the exact measurements but it is a queen size.  It is just lovely!  Completely hand pieced using the English Paper Piecing (EPP) technique.
I quilted it with the "Mint Julep" design.  I love this design.
A close up of the quilting and the minke back.  The back is a dark brown minke and oh so soft.  I love quilting with minke.
I tried to get her to just let me keep it for myself but she will not agree!  LOL!
 I trimmed ...

Creative Mess... from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

I snapped this pic last night before turning everything off and heading back downstairs.  As you can see I have a creative mess.  LOL!  I need to take a few minutes to pick up before it gets out of hand.
I still have my Courthouse Steps on the longarm.  I think I mentioned that I broke a needle and now the stitches are horrible.  :(  So I'm still trying to get that figured out.  Do you see my little step stool in front of the longarm?  LOL!  I'm only 5ft tall so when I work from the front of ...

After 6 years... from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

I'm so excited!!!  I finally loaded my Courthouse Steps on the longarm!!!
I snapped this quick pic of it as I was loading it on the longarm.  She's a big one.  I'll have to check again but I think it measures something like 92x100...maybe even larger.  LOL!  It is made with 6" blocks and each strip finishes at 3/4" wide.  There are 224 blocks in this quilt.
Now here's the bad news...LOL!  I am quilting it using a panto called, "Lot's of Leaves"  This panto is very dense and measures 15" wide ...

Two more of my quilts are quilted and off the list!!!  My goal for 2018 is to quilt 15 of my own tops.  I have now quilted 6!!!!!  So I'm off to a good start.

This is the purple strippy quilt that I pieced not too long ago.  After I quilted it, I posted a pic of it on my FB page and it SOLD!!!  I had a friend ask if it was for sale, I priced it and she wants it!!!  YAY!  Now I just need to get the binding sewn on ...

Making lots of progress from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

It's been a busy few days.  Let me start by showing you my quilting progress!  I pieced 20 more of my Windmill blocks while Richard was doing some adjusting on my longarm.  These 20 bring my total to 320...only 208 more to go!!!!  LOL!
I did get this customer quilt finished.  This is the one that I posted in the last post.  It was hand pieced out of t-shirts and polyester.  Soooo stretchy to quilt.
After he did some adjusting, I loaded this little quilt of mine.  Not really pieced just a piece of airplane fabric with a ...

Off the longarm... from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

The lighting wasn't good when I snapped this pic but it's the best that I could do at the time.  The quilt is much brighter.
This is the custoerm quilt that I quilted last week.  It's a king size.
I quilted it with the "loopy hearts" panto.  I thought it suited the bright fun colors.
I got a roll of Hobb's 80/20 batting in yesterday with plans to get started on some of my own quilt tops.  Those will be coming up soon.  I think the first one of mine that I quilt will be ...

On the longarm... from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

I got some quilting done yesterday after church.  I loaded this customer quilt on the frame.
This wonderful lady brought me 6 king size tops to quilt for her.  I've quilted for her before and she does a wonderful job piecing so it makes my job much easier.
I am quilting it with the "loopy hearts" panto.  It's a fun design to quilt.
I also got the binding sewn on the jean quilt this weekend.  I did that while we watched a movie.  I'm glad it is finished.
I will be taking the customer quilt off the ...

Another one finished... from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

Another one quilted!!!  3 down and 34 more to go!!!  I loaded and quilted this one yesterday afternoon!  This is the Churn Dash that I finished up a few days ago.  It is not a huge quilt but still a nice size measuring 70x82.
I did a dense stipple on it.  I'll be honest, I'm so tired of stippling!  Nothing at all wrong with it, I'm just tired of doing it.  LOL!  I did it on this one because I just wanted it done and stippling is easy.  LOL!
I really need to work on bindings this ...

3 Memory Cross Quilts and 9 Memory Pillows... from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

This morning I thought I would show you a few quilts that I pieced and quilted for a lady before Christmas.
Her husband had passed away and she asked me to make 3 of these Cross Memory Quilts from his shirts for her and their 2 sons for Christmas.
Here is a pic of the 2nd one.  Somehow I didn't get a pic of the 3rd one but it looks just like these two.
Here is a photo of the back of them.  All 3 of them were quilted with this same design.  The panto is called, Spindle.  I ...
