Happy Sunday! I hope that your week has been fun and filled with Quilty Projects! My work load at my job has steadily increased and so has my travel during the week. I found myself pretty tired on Saturday morning and didn't accomplish as much around the house as I would have liked to!

I got home today late after a late meeting. And nothing could make me happier than a lovely package of scrappy goodness from Jayme... FindingSweetland! I received a cute little fabric bucket and awesome scraps! But check out the mustache pin! How cool is that????? Thank you so much, Jayme. This package made my day. I know that these scraps will find their way into some Road to Fortune Blocks before you know it!

Oh my! More scraps. I was stalking my partner for the Modern Scrappy Bits Swap and I pulled a bunch of scraps that I thought might work but I didn't hear anything from my partner so I thought I would try again and see if these scraps might catch the eye of the intended. There is a whack of stuff with some Basic Grey, Oh Deer, Secret Garden, Joel Dewberry, Madrona Road, Type and I even put some Kona Ash in there just for fun so I hope this catches my partner's eye!
Then I received this in ... read more
Happy Tuesday everyone! Thank you to Erin from the Sew at Home Mummy blog for inviting me to share some tips and tricks with you!
I have been watching the mail for my Modern Scrappy Bits Swap package and yesterday it arrived!!!! I received a lovely bundle of goodies from Sam (UKmuminusa) who blogs at A Cup of Tea and a Slice of Cake. The pouch is to die for and came complete with scraps, a wee Christmas ornament, and a wee needle book. The needle book is just the right size for tucking into the pouch for on the go sewing projects. I just love it. I am most impressed with the eyelets too!
Thank you so much, Sam! Swaps are such fun!

I had a goal that I would get this all ready to go today. I signed up for the Modern Scrappy Bits Swap part 2. I did a bit of lurking and thought I would make a zippy pouch for a "take on the go" sewing and stuff. Or really for whatever my swap partner wishes to do with it. I used a whack of sewing related scraps as you can see. I am a bit zipper phobic but I put on my big girl pants and went for it. I think I did okay. At least I am smiling ... read more

Yes, we are a beautiful pear. Me and my new pincushion, that is!
It's funny that I drooled over this on the Modern Scrappy Bits Swap group on Flickr, and wanted it for my very own. Then a box arrived that was filled with gorgeous modern fabric yumminess --- and this beauty:
I'm so happy it found its way to me!!

I received my modern scrappy bits swap package today all the way from lovely Elizabeth in Salt Rock, West Virginia! So exciting!!!!!!!! Look at this lovely needle book. I adore the fabric. I took a picture of both the front and the back. And I know that I commented on this in Flickr!
Here is the back. Just as cute. And then don't be too jealous but look at all the scraps!!!! Lots of lovely florals and even some Backyard Baby. I remember drooling over this pile of scraps when the picture was posted in Flickr too!
Happy Sunday! I hope that your weekend is going well! The weather has been pleasant and warm in the Pittsburgh area. Yesterday was a housework and running around day. Today has been a laundry, sewing and cooking day! I finished some more Bee blocks and cut out enough fabric for another Love in a Mist block.
Happy Friday! I hope that your week was delightful!! The weather here has been hot and very sunny. We had some rain storms for several nights that helped to cool things down a bit. Being a Southern girl I love the warmth of the sunshine and looking at everything green around me! On the way home from work I took a road that was off the main highway and saw a deer grazing in the woods. I slowed my car down to a creep and watched this beautiful animal as it ate by the roadside.
